Gloomhaven Has Sold Roughly 120,000 Copies
The wildly popular Gloomhaven board game has sold roughly 120,000 copies, IGN learned from creator Isaac Childres at Gen Con 2018.
Gloomhaven, which was our favorite board game of 2017 and is currently the highest rated board game of all time on BoardGameGeek, has been notoriously hard to get since it first launched in 2016. There have been three different printing runs so far and they’ve all sold out practically as soon as they released, despite the fact that the regular price is a whopping $150.
PUBG Players Discover You Can Ride Smoke Grenades and Apples
Some PUBG players have found their own twist for riding munitions.
As first reported by Eurogamer, it's apparently possible to ride smoke grenades down over cliffs and down hills to avoid taking fall damage. So far, it's only been proven to work on the game's test servers, so it's likely PUBG Corp. will patch what seems to be a bug out before it ever goes live. For the time being, though, it sounds relatively easy to go for a ride on a smoke grenade on PUBG's test servers.
Reddit user kowzzzz was the first to discover smoke grenade surfing. To replicate the ride, players just need to take a smoke grenade and "throw it straight up in the air and be on a surface that is slightly slanted," according to kowzzzz. "Sometimes it doesn't work if the angle is too extreme."
PUBG Mobile Game Gets Mission Impossible: Fallout Crossover
PUBG Corp and Tencent have brought a Mission: Impossible - Fallout mashup to PUBG mobile that's live right now.
The crossover coincides with the theatrical release of the latest entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise, with an update that adds movie-themed content, including background music, in a month-long event.
Players will also be able to unlock other in-game rewards like customizable parachutes, outfits, and take part in new challenges for Team Rush, and Survival modes.
The biggest movie/ mobile crossover to date has been the Fortnite and Infinity War mashup, but unlike Epic Games, PUBG Corp is restricting the update to mobile only.
See an Early Look at Gloomhaven’s First Expansion
Gloomhaven is one of the most popular board games available right now, so I was thrilled to take a look at its first-ever expansion on the show floor of Gen Con 2018.
Gloomhaven: Forgotten Circles will add a brand new class, the Diviner, alongside just over 20 scenarios designed specifically with that class in mind. You will need a Diviner in your party to even take those missions on, and the shorter campaign tells a story that she is a central character in.
Here are some photos of what Forgotten Circles looks like in action:
This is a fairly large change from the base Gloomhaven campaign, which doesn’t put class restrictions on specific missions. But part of the reason for it is the way the Diviner plays -- more precisely, the fact that she can teleport through solid walls. There are certain scenarios that would literally be unbeatable without her.
Disney Wants to Buy Back Star Wars TV Rights
Disney wants to buy back the TV rights to all current and future Star Wars films from AT&T’s Turner Broadcasting.
Bloomberg reports Disney is trying to regain the broadcasting rights so it can offer the films on its upcoming new video service. Turner currently has the rights to show the movies on its cable networks, including TNT and TBS.
Disney sold the rights back in 2016 for $275 million, with the deal set to last until 2024. The deal includes Star Wars movies released between 1977 and 2005, as well as newer titles. Turner is seeking compensation and replacement programming for the rights, but talks have reportedly stalled.
Finding This Stone Hatchet in GTA Online Will Unlock it in Red Dead Redemption 2
Finding the Stone Hatchet melee weapon in Grand Theft Auto Online will unlock it in Red Dead Redemption 2 once it is released later this year.
In order to find the Stone Hatchet in GTA Online, players must keep an eye out for texts from Maude Eccles. She'll set bounty targets for players to collect, and completing this will unlock the location of the Stone Hatchet.
Once players have it, they can complete a Kills Challenge that will earn them $250,000 in GTA Online and also unlock the weapon in Red Dead Redemption 2 when it is released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on October 26.

How Sony’s Venom Could Still Get the White Spider Symbol
The new Venom trailer shows the titular anti-hero in his full, gooey glory, but one important part is missing from his suit: the white spider symbol.
But that doesn’t mean he couldn’t still get it… eventually. After digging into the comics, as well as a certain Spider-Man video game from years past, we’ve figured out a way that Venom could still have his symbol and eat people, too.
