Here’s What it Was Like to Be Obi-Wan’s Stunt Double
Nash Edgerton may not be the household name his brother, Joel Edgerton (The Gift, Warrior) is quickly becoming, but he's still a prominent figure in film and television as both a director, writer, and stuntman. In terms of his stunt work, he is probably best known for his role in the Star Wars prequel movies, as the stunt double for Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Edgerton was in attendance at the 2018 Television Critics' Association summer press tour in Beverly Hills to promote his new series on FX, titled Mr. Inbetween. Edgerton is directing all 6 episodes of the Australian crime drama, which is centered around Ray Shoesmith (Scott Ryan), a father, ex-husband, boyfriend and best friend who is attempting to juggle all those roles with his career as a criminal for hire. The series is set to premiere on FX on September 25.
Metroid Easter Egg Finally Discovered in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze
Four-and-a-half years after Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze was initially released on the Wii U, a long-hidden Metroid Easter egg has been discovered in the game.
Twitter user Shane Marchis discovered the Easter egg and uploaded a video of his findings. It shows a Metroid hatchling floating in the background of level 4-3, Amiss Abyss.
To make the Metroid appear, players must proceed through Amiss Abyss until they reach a particularly long underwater tunnel about halfway through the level. After swimming through the tunnel, players need to turn around and swim backwards through the tunnel again, though it will have more dangers on the return trip. There will be some electric seaweed in the way, and players will need to take damage to become briefly invincible to make it through the seaweed. After doing this, players can see the Metroid far off in the background if they wait a few seconds.
Always Sunny Star Weighs in on James Gunn and Roseanne Firings
During a panel for FXX's It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, executive producer and star Charlie Day weighed in on the current climate of celebrities like Roseanne Barr and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn being fired for problematic tweets, suggesting that having comedians' jokes come under more scrutiny might be good for comedy in the long run.
When a reporter at the Television Critics Association summer press tour asked the cast whether they were worried about past jokes being taken out of context and used against them, Day said, "I haven’t seen too many examples of things being taken out of context that were things that were said or tweeted in a very intelligent way," pointing out that the jokes on It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia are "always a commentary on bad behavior; when you're making a commentary on bad behavior and someone says something that's bad, you get it."
Bobcat Goldthwait Wrote Disney Defending James Gunn
Bobcat Goldthwait has once again offered his support for James Gunn while appearing on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
Gunn was fired by Disney as director of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 after a series of older offensive tweets from the filmmaker recently surfaced. Shortly after the firing, Goldthwait wrote an open letter on Instagram asking Disney to remove his voice from an upcoming theme park attraction as a protest against the firing.
During his late show appearance (via YouTube), Goldthwait further explained why he's on Gunn's side, saying the filmmaker shouldn't be punished for something he's said and apologized for, years ago.

Dennis to Appear in ‘Pretty Much Every’ It’s Always Sunny: Season 13 Episode
The gang's going to be all back together for the majority of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Season 13. Stars/producers Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day confirmed that Glenn Howerton's character will return for "pretty much every episode" in the forthcoming season on FXX.
"He's in pretty much every episode," said McElhenney, with Day adding, "He's in the majority of them, and then we have a couple ... that focus more specifically on other characters."
"Everything just worked out from a schedule standpoint," Day later added to IGN of Howerton's return. "Dennis -- or some form of Dennis --
can see in the show a lot. The type of Dennis that they see -- and I can't always guarantee that it will be the actor -- but the spirit of Dennis will be there."
Fox Intends to Keep The Simpsons After the Disney Merger
With the $71.3 billion USD Disney/Fox deal that will see Disney purchasing Fox's entertainment assets gaining ground, Fox is standing firm and will fight to keep ownership of The Simpsons for the foreseeable future.
Speaking at the Fox TV Critics Association press tour, Fox CEOs Dana Walden and Gary Newman explained why the Simpsons means so much to the network and their plans for the future.
"SIMPSONS is so much a part of the brand. There’s been such an incredible halo effect of that show and the other animated series that are on our Sunday night. There are no plans for them to go anywhere other than FOX." Walden said.
"We have a couple years of episodes already in progress on THE SIMPSONS. So down the line, what kind of decision is made I can’t really speak to." Walden stated. "But for the foreseeable future, there’s so much upside and benefit to having a great Emmy Award winning, smart, provocative, quality show, that there’s no consideration of not ordering more SIMPSONS."
Destiny 2 Players Have Spent 25 Years Deleting 800 Million Shaders
Destiny 2 players have collectively crossed a rather unfortunate milestone. According to calculations made on Reddit, players have spent over 25 years erasing shaders, which function as armor and weapon dyes in Destiny 2.
In a post on its website, Bungie revealed players have deleted 807,635,124 shaders to date. With shaders taking one second each to delete, Reddit user SlickeryV calculated this would have collectively taken 25.6 years to achieve.

Avatar: The Last Airbender Ended 10 Years Ago and It Was Perfect
Update: With the news coming today that a live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender is coming to Netflix, we figured it was the perfect time to reflect once again on how perfect the original series' finale was. Read on for our thoughts on that classic episode...
Full spoilers follow for Avatar: The Last Airbender.
How many TV shows can you name off the top of your head that had an ending that met your expectations or appreciation of what came before? More often than not, we run into a series that overstays its welcome. Perhaps its story gets stretched to absurdity to meet the demand for more seasons (see Lost). Maybe its characters, perpetually upping the ante in shenanigans or drama, stray from their story arcs, becoming exaggerated parodies of their formerly endearing selves (think Andy in The Office, or Andrea in The Walking Dead). And sometimes shows pull a Dexter, and… well, we all remember Dexter.
