Doom Patrol: Brendan Fraser Joins the DC TV Series as Robotman

Brendan Fraser, known for his roles in The Mummy, George of the Jungle and more, has been cast as Robotman (aka Cliff Steele) in DC Universe’s live-action series Doom Patrol.

As announced by Deadline, Fraser will do voiceover work for Robotman while Riley Shanahan will be the on-stage performer of the character in full costume. Fraser will play Cliff Steele in flashback scenes, before the character nearly dies in a race car accident that results in his brain being transplanted into a robot host.

Doom Patrol will also include Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Jovian Wade as Cyborg, and as-of-yet unannounced actors playing Negative Man and Dr. Niles Caulder. If you want to know more about Doom Patrol, check out our explanation of the somewhat obscure super team.

Marvel Needs to Give Spider-Man Miles Morales a New Home

Miles Morales is a standout Spider-Man, but recent storylines have called into question whether he is better off as a character ever since Marvel pulled him into the main Marvel Universe. While more Miles is certainly preferable to no Miles at all, the time may have come to give Miles his own universe again.

Marvel Comics used 2015's Secret Wars event as a way of closing the door on the long-running Ultimate Universe imprint, the comic line where we first met Miles Morales and saw him become that universe's new Spider-Man. Rather than eliminate that character along with the entire line, Marvel moved Miles over to the standard Marvel Universe where he now operates as a second Spider-Man alongside Peter Parker.

Battlefield V Developer says It’s ‘a Shame’ DICE Didn’t Include Women in Battlefield 1

Aleksander Grøndal, executive producer at DICE, has gone on record stating he wishes the team had added female characters to Battlefield 1 instead of waiting until Battlefield V to do so.

Speaking with GamesRadar+, Grøndal asserted that players being able to express themselves through characters in gameplay is essential, which includes being able to play as women.

"I mean, if we were getting on the bandwagon, I created Battlefield 1, and we could've 'jumped on the bandwagon' that time around,” Grøndal said. "I think it’s a shame we didn’t

, because that perhaps would've been better for us. I don’t think it’s a bandwagon thing, I think it’s about gamers wanting to express themselves in different ways."

Medusa Killed Me Stone Dead in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

I’ve been handed the controller for my first taste of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in a behind closed doors demo here at Gamescom. My character Kassandra is level 50, and I’m assured the quest line I’m about to experience is indeed very late in the game. My task is to track down the ‘Writhing Dread’, a mysterious and much feared monstrosity on the island of Lesbos currently residing in the bowels of the nearby Petrified Valley, one whom has recently stolen the daughter away from a local. That ‘Writhing Dread’ I’m about to find out, is more commonly known to her friends as Medusa.

As far as first looks at games go, this isn’t just being thrown into the deep end. This is like being sparta-kicked into a bottomless pit.
