Fortnite on Switch: Players Send Epic ‘a Crying Plea’

It's no secret that Fortnite for Switch isn't as fully-featured as its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One counterparts, but for at least a few thousand fans, the Nintendo console's version of the world's most popular game is no longer up to scratch.

In a post that's seen thousands of upvotes since being posted yesterday, Redditor DoctorSqueeze detailed problems in what they called "a crying plea" to Epic Games.

The laundry list of complaints, which DoctorSqueeze claims makes Fortnite for Switch "pretty much unplayable", includes issues with emotes, gyro controls, playing with friends, voice chat, game freezes, lengthy texture loading times, lag, and more.

Soulcalibur 6 Could Be the Last in the Series If It Doesn’t Sell Well

If the six year wait between Soulcalibur 5 and 6 has felt unbearable to some fans, they'd better hope Soulcalibur 6 is a success.

Producer Motohiro Okubo told DualShockers that the franchise was on shaky ground after the fifth installment, and that there may never be another game in the series if Soulcalibur 6 is a flop.

That would be the worst-case scenario, but publisher Bandai Namco apparently had to be slowly won over to even give Soulcalibur 6 the green light.

“The first thing is that the IP itself of the SoulCalibur franchise had low expectations from the company," said Okubo. "It was actually facing a crisis of maybe disappearing. It took time for me to convince the company.”

John Goodman Says The Conners Will Kill Off Roseanne

If John Goodman is to be believed, upcoming Roseanne spinoff The Conners will see the family dealing with the aftermath of the death of matriarch Roseanne Conner.

Earlier this year, ABC announced that it was cancelling the newly-revived Roseanne after a single season, following series star Roseanne Barr's controversial comments on Twitter about former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett . But, given the show's success (the season premiere drew over 18 million viewers), it wasn't long before ABC announced that the rest of the cast would be moving forward with a Roseanne-less spinoff, tentatively titled The Conners, although it wasn't clear how the show would deal with Barr's absence.

Someone Created a Luigi’s Mansion AR Game Using Labo

Japanese Nintendo fans have taken the build-it-yourself approach of Nintendo Labo to an impressive new level - crafting a Luigi's Mansion AR game using the software's Toy-Con Garage.

As shared on Twitter by user Nawafuji, the game is simple - explore a dark room and, if you find a Boo, vigorously shake the Labo to simulate Luigi's trademark Poltergust 3000.

The way it was created was anything but simple, however. Using a magnifying glass and some clever cardboard creativity, the Poltergust build allows the Switch screen to be projected onto the wall. Some immensely complex Toy-Con Garage code means that projection usually looks like a flashlight beam, but passing over a reflective sheet turns that image into a pixel art Boo, which is then sucked up by using motion controls. You can see it in action below:

We Ate Lunch in Japan’s Pokemon Cafe

While in Japan for the Pokemon Go Safari Zone event in Yokosuka this week, we stopped by Pokemon Center DX in Tokyo to visit the Pokemon Cafe.

Hidden away in a corner near the entrance of Pokemon Center DX, tables at the Pokemon Cafe are available by reservation only (or by a long standby wait in the cancellation line if you’re feeling lucky).

You can check out the Pokemon Cafe and everything we ate in the gallery below:

The menu consists of drinks, meals, and desserts that are all (as you’d expect) themed after Pokemon. We tried a Pikachu donut to start, followed by a Pikachu tail cookie and iced coffee. For the main course, an Eevee chicken burger with fries and minestrone soup, followed by a Gengar grape smoothie and a Mimikyu crepe for dessert.
