The Voice of God in Neil Gaiman’s Good Omens Series Announced

Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actress, Frances McDormand will lend her voice to the six-part Amazon series as “the voice of God."

The news was announced Friday during Amazon's panel at San Diego Comic-Con. The apocalyptic drama is based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's 1990 novel of the same name. Douglas Mackinnon, known for Sherlock and Doctor Who will be directing.

Amazon describes the series as, "The End of the World is coming, which means a fussy Angel and a loose-living Demon who’ve become overly fond of life on Earth are forced to form an unlikely alliance to stop Armageddon. But they have lost the Antichrist, an 11-year-old boy unaware he’s meant to bring upon the end of days, forcing them to embark on an adventure to find him and save the world before it’s too late."

Diamond Select Toys Reveals New Marvel, DC and Stranger Things Figures

Diamond Select Toys brought a very impressive lineup of figures and statues to this year's Comic-Con. Their booth features a jam-packed lineup covering popular franchises like Marvel, DC, Star Trek, Stranger Things, Pacific Rim, The Muppets and Kingdom Hearts.

Stranger Things fans will be pleased to see a wide assortment of characters from the show (including Barb!), plus an entire set of the boys in their Ghostbusters costumes. DST has a massive lineup of Marvel and DC statues in the works, covering both classic comic book appearances, animated series and even a few statues based on the Dark Knight Trilogy. We're also impressed with the company's new line of 1:2 scale busts, which feature both comic book heroes and movie icons like Captain Jack Sparrow and the Iron Giant.

No Man’s Sky Creator Opens Up About Online Harassment

No Man’s Sky co-creator Sean Murray has broken nearly two years of silence following Hello Games’ release of the interplanetary exploration game to reflect on, among other things, the backlash his studio received in the wake of what he describes as a polarizing launch.

In an interview with IGN, Murray weighed the differences between reasonable, constructive criticism No Man’s Sky received post-launch from dedicated fans, and the kind of dangerous vitriol that has become all too familiar in pop culture spaces over the years.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse Will Continue Season 1’s Story

Remember the very end of American Horror Story's first season - the Murder House arc? Connie Britton's Vivien died while giving birth to an Antichrist baby, leaving the young boy to be raised by Jessica Lange's Constance.

Well, that will all get paid off in full this fall when the Ryan Murphy horror anthology returns with American Horror Story: Apocalypse.

Venom Writer Spearheads Marvel Knights Relaunch

Marvel is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Marvel Knights imprint in a big way. Today at Comic-Con the publisher revealed that Venom writer Donny Cates will spearhead a Marvel Knights relaunch beginning in November.

The news came at Marvel's Retailer Appreciation Luncheon, as Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski and SVP David Gabriel welcomed the newly Marvel-exclusive Cates to the stage. Cates will serve as "showrunner" for the new line, in a role that sounds similar to Gerard Way's handling of DC's Young Animal imprint. Cates will be supervising new titles from several creative teams, with Matthew Rosenberg, Tini Howard and Vita Ayala confirmed to be involved.

Fear the Walking Dead: New Cast Members Added

Fear the Walking Dead: Season 4 will return on August 12, and with it comes a host of new cast members.

Aaron Stanford (12 Monkeys), Mo Collins (Parks and Recreation), Stephen Henderson (Lady Bird), and more are joining the show as it heads into Season 4B. The new trailer for the season teased a walker hurricane haunting the show's ensemble this time out.

During the AMC series' San Diego Comic-Con Hall H panel, a fan asked whether the show might see more crossovers from The Walking Dead following Lennie James' jump from one show to another. While none were confirmed, executive producer Scott M. Gimple's evasive answer certainly didn't rule out the possibility.

"It’s a shared universe, so it's possible. I would never tell you at this moment, but I really want to," Gimple said.

Overwatch Players Involved in Talks with Olympic Committee

Two players from the Overwatch League (OWL) are currently in Switzerland to meet with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Global Association of International Sports Federations (GAISF) to discuss potential Olympic opportunities for esports.

Jacob "Jake" Lyon of the Houston Outlaws and Se-yeon "Geguri" Kim of the Shanghai Dragons are the two OWL players in attendance. The conference, which will wrap up tomorrow, is not about creating a specific plan for integrating esports into the Olympics immediately, according to Overwatch Wire. Instead, the two-day summit will focus on creating a relationship between esports professionals and the IOC.

The My Hero Academia Movie Hits Theaters in North America in September

Starting September 25, My Hero Academia: Two Heroes will be in theaters for a limited five-day run across North America, My Hero Academia voice actors Chris Sabat (All Might) and Justin Briner (Izuku "Deku" Midoriya) announced on IGN's San Diego Comic-Con's live stream.

My Hero Academia: Two Heroes will be in over 400 theaters across the U.S. and Canada on September 25, 26, 27, 29, and October 2. The English dubbed version of the movie will be available on September 25, 27, and 29 and the Japanese dub with English subtitles on September 26 and October 2.

The My Hero Academia movie had its world premiere at this year's Anime Expo with three thousand fans in attendance. The movie follows All Might, Deku, two new characters, and various students from U.A. High School class 1-A as they work to defuse a hostage situation on the secluded I-Island. My Hero Academia: Two Heroes received a 7.7 for its fun action exciting opening scene.

Invader Zim Reveals Movie Trailer at Comic-Con

INVADER ZIM fans at San Diego-Comic Con got a first look at the show's long-awaited TV movie in the form of a new teaser and character art on Friday. Check out the first footage from INVADER ZIM: Enter the Florpus below.

In INVADER ZIM: Enter The Florpus, ZIM discovers his almighty leaders have no intention of coming to Earth and he loses confidence in his own amazingness for the first time in his amazing life, which is the big break his human nemesis Dib has been waiting for. At some point, GIR rides a tiny donkey, and that’s all anyone should really care about. The 2D-animated TV movie is produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank.

The panel featured creator Jhonen Vazquez and original series stars Richard Horvitz (ZIM), Rikki Simons (GIR), Wally Wingert (Almighty Tallest Red) and Kevin McDonald (Almighty Tallest Purple) along with INVADER ZIM: Enter the Florpus art director Jenny Goldberg.
