A Halo…Arcade Game? 343 Explains the Origin of Halo: Fireteam Raven

In the long wait for another entry in the Halo-verse, no one would have guessed the next chance to share the screen with Master Chief would come in the form a mammoth arcade game. The announcement of Halo: Fireteam Raven – a joint effort between 343 Industries and arcade developers Raw Thrills and Play Mechanix – seemingly came out of nowhere.

In the few short months since that announcement, Halo: Fireteam Raven is already out in the wilds of Dave and Busters across the country, waiting for you and up to three others to gun down droves of Covenant and Flood as a the titular ODST foursome during the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. We’ve already played it, and as our Halo: Fireteam Raven Review states, it’s good! But the question remains, why a Halo arcade game?

God of War Players Still Investigating Unexplained Mysteries

God of War players earlier this week unearthed an Easter egg in one of the Sony Santa Monica adventure's earliest locations, but with no full, official confirmation just yet, some have debated whether that tease is indeed the "final" secret players have been hunting for months. And while that uncertainty looms for the moment, there are still plenty of unexplained elements players are continuing to investigate.

Players recently found four runes in the corners of Kratos, Faye, and Atreus' house, which, when put together in the correct order, spell "Loki."

Buffy Reboot: Showrunner Shares Details on New Slayer After Backlash

Monica Owusu-Breen, writer, executive producer, and showrunner of the in-development reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has taken to Twitter to address the backlash that has since followed this news.

Last week, it was announced that Joss Whedon and 20th Century Fox were currently developing a TV reboot of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and that a black actress would be playing the lead role of Buffy, made famous by Sarah Michelle Gellar.

In response to this reboot trying to replicate or replace the beloved characters of the original series, Owusu-Breen took it upon herself to reassure fans and let them know how much Buffy meant to her, how much she respects the original, and that there "is only one Buffy."

Kristin Stewart Charlie’s Angels Reboot Finds Its Cast

Sony's Charlie's Angels reboot has found its three angels.

Per Variety, the remake will star Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska. Elizabeth Banks will direct, with Jay Basu and Banks writing the most recent draft of the script. Banks will also star in the film as Bosley.

The remake is set sometime after the original movies, and will focus on the next generation of Angels working for the mysterious Charlie. The Townsend Agency has now gone global with highly-trained teams worldwide, providing security and intelligence services to a wide variety of private clients.

Forza Motorsport 7’s Loot Boxes Will Be Removed By Winter

There's some more fallout from the ongoing loot box debate.

Turn 10 Studios today announced that it will be removing prize crates (its version of free loot crates) from Forza Motorsport 7, most likely during the coming winter. Additionally, Turn 10 will not be bringing paid tokens, which were included in previous Forza games, to either Forza Motorsport 7 or October's Forza Horizon 4.

"While we’ve never charged money for prize crates in Forza Motorsport 7, their presence in the game has continued to be a source of controversy," Studio Head Alan Hartman explained. "The overwhelming feedback has been that this system feels out of place in the game. After careful consideration, we have decided to completely remove prize crates from Forza Motorsport 7."

Netflix Orders Apocalyptic Zombie Series Based on Daybreak Comic

An apocalyptic zombie series based on Brian Ralph's Daybreak graphic novel is in the works at Netflix.

Per Deadline, Netflix has given a 10-episode order for the series, which is described as a subversive dark zombie comedy. Aron Eli Coleite (Star Trek: Discovery, Heroes) will serve as showrunner and executive produce, with Brad Peyton (Rampage) directing and executive producing as well.

The story follows a 17-year-old high school outcast named Josh who goes searching for his missing girlfriend Sam in post-apocalyptic Glendale, California. He'll be joined by a few of his eccentric friends, including a 12-year-old pyromaniac named Angelica and Josh’s former high school bully Wesley, who's now a pacifist samurai.

HBO Confirms Game of Thrones Season 8 Episodes Will Not Be 2-Hours

We recently found out that Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere in the first half of 2019, and now HBO Programming Chief Casey Bloys has disclosed new snippets for the upcoming season to EW.

Bloys said the episodes in season 8 will not be 2-hours long, according to his knowledge. He also shared that he thinks the final season trailer will launch in 2018, but he has not been told specifically when it will.

In terms of the possibility of any more Game of Thrones prequels besides the one announced that is being written by Jane Goldman and George R.R. Martin, Bloys confirmed that is a no for right now.

Kingdom Hearts’ Sora Nendoroid Figure Revealed

Good Smile has revealed a new Nendoroid figure based on Kingdom Hearts' Sora that is modeled after his appearance in the original Kingdom Hearts.

According to the announcement on Good Smile, Sora will come with three face plates; a confident expression, playful smile, and sleeping expression.

Obviously, a Sora Nendoroid wouldn't be complete without a keyblade, and this figure comes with two; the classic Kingdom Key and the Nightmare Before Christmas inspired Pumpkinhead Keyblade. There is even a keyhole that will help you make the perfect scene.
