Rocket League Jurassic World DLC Announced
New Jurassic World-themed DLC has been announced for Rocket League.
This Jurassic World Car Pack includes the classic Jurassic Jeep Wrangler battle-car, a T. rex explosion upon scoring goals, a Jurassic Park hard hat topper, and Jurassic Park and Jurassic World player banners and flags.
If deeper cuts are your thing, a Mr. DNA player banner and an InGen flag will also be included in the DLC.
Priced at $1.99 USD, the Jurassic World Car Pack will be available to download on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC starting June 18.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released in the UK on June 6, Australia on June 21, and the US June 22. Fallen Kingdom is expected to be a big hit, as it's tracking to bring in between $130 to $150 million in its domestic debut alone.
Spawn Reboot Won’t Be An Origins Story
Writer-director Todd McFarlane doesn't want his upcoming Spawn reboot to be an origins story.
Speaking to ComicBook.com, McFarlane revealed he doesn't want the film to have a set up and explore the backstory of how murdered CIA operative Al Simmons becomes Spawn, portrayed by Jamie Foxx.
“Nope," McFarlane said. "Nope. Nope. I’m not interested in the origin story. I can’t do it. I can’t do it. I’ve seen too many movies that spend way too much time for the set up.”
Sony Revealing 3 New Games Before E3
Sony will reveal three new games ahead of its E3 showcase next week, including PS4 and PS VR titles.
Sony has announced it will make a new announcement each day leading up to its E3 showcase, from Wednesday, June 6 until Sunday, June 10. The announcements include three new titles, two for PS4 and one for PS VR.
Here's what is in store for each day:
- New PS4 game with PS VR support - Wednesday June 6 at 4pm BST / 8am PDT/ 11am EDT, or 1am AEST on Thursday June 7.
- Release Date for an upcoming Worldwide Studios title - Thursday June 7 at 4pm BST / 8am PDT/ 11am EDT, or 1am AEST on Friday June 8.
- New PS4 game announcement - Friday June 8 at 4pm BST / 8am PDT/ 11am EDT, or 1am AEST on Saturday June 9.
Solo: A Star Wars Story Sees Big Drop in Second Weekend Box Office
Solo: A Star Wars Story has had a huge drop in its second weekend at the domestic box office, earning an estimated $29.3 million.
The Star Wars film dropped 65% this weekend, having debuted at $83.3 million in its opening weekend. Solo has now earned roughly $150 million domestically and $115.3 million internationally, making for a combined global total of $264.2 million.
In comparison, 2016's Rogue One had an estimated $1.05 billion worldwide total gross, while The Last Jedi ended its box office run with $1.3 billion.
Solo still remained in its first place this weekend, with Deadpool 2 coming in second once again earning $23.3 million. Survival drama Adrift debuted at third with $11.5 million while Avengers: Infinity War dropped down to fourth with $10.3 million. Rounding the top five is Book Club, earning an additional $6.8 million. Meanwhile, action-thriller Upgrade debuted in sixth place with $4.4 million.

ABC abruptly canceled its Roseanne revival last year in response to controversial comments made by star Roseanne Barr on Twitter. The series eventually returned in the form of the Barr-less spinoff The Conners. More recently, we learned Fuller House actress Lori Loughlin won't be returning for the final season due to her role in the recent college admissions scandal.
Benedict Cumberbatch Foils a Real-Life Robbery
Sherlock Holmes' Benedict Cumberbatch dabbled in some real-life crime fighting by stopping a potential mugging.
The Sun reports that, late last yeart, he actor hopped out of his Uber after spotting a cyclist for UK food delivery service, Deliveroo, getting assaulted in the street. The attack took place just around the corner from Sherlock Homles' fictional address on Baker Street.
According to the driver, Manuel Dias, Cumberbatch jumped out of the vehicle to assist the cyclist, who was being attacked by four men. Dias followed to help, only recognising the actor once they were fending off the attackers.
Square Enix Montreal Calls It Quits on the Mobile Go Series
After four years and three games, Square Enix Montreal is reportedly finished with the mobile Go series of games.
In an interview with PC Games Insider, Square Enix Montreal studio head Patrick Naud cites the premium pricing of the games for their relative lack of success in the mobile market. The three Go games produced by the developer are Hitman Go, Lara Croft Go and Deus Ex Go — all of which run for $4.99 on the App Store.
"The Go series was a great adventure for us as a studio. We've done the three games, we've seen the wind. The hardest element is making premium games on mobile. You've got more and more high-quality free titles so there are even fewer and fewer people inclined to try something that will not be free," Naud said.
Godzilla vs. Kong Casts Deadpool 2 Star
Director Adam Wingard’s (The Guest, Death Note) Godzilla vs. Kong has added Deadpool 2 and Hunt for the Wilderpeople star Julian Dennison to the cast. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The Legendary and Warner Bros.’ Monsterverse film will serve as a sequel to last year’s Kong: Skull Island (you can read IGN's review here), as well as 2014’s Godzilla and its upcoming sequel, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. This one is slated for a May 31, 2019 release.
