NASA Finds More Evidence Suggesting Past Life on Mars

New findings from NASA's Curiosity rover provide evidence that suggest Mars could have once sustained organic life.

According to NASA, "tough" organic molecules containing carbon and hydrogen have been found inside three-billion-year-old sedimentary rocks known as mudstone, located inside Gale Crater. A press release from NASA notes that while these organic molecules might suggest life, they are not definitive proof of life.

Curiosity has not yet determined the origins of the molecules, but past data has suggested that the site of its find, Gale Crater, was once host to a lake on the surface of Mars billions of years ago. A liquid lake like the one in question would have held the "ingredients" to sustain life, according to scientists.

Fortnite’s Shotguns Are Being Nerfed

Epic Games is finally making a move aimed at satisfying one of Fortnite players' biggest gameplay complaints. Fortnite's shotguns have been nerfed.

"For a while we felt that shotguns promoted healthy close-quarter gameplay; however, with the recent equip time changes, shotguns are being used more often than we like," reads Epic's post about the changes, which also come with the delay of Playground Limited Time Mode. "It's something we've been keeping an eye on, but broadly speaking we feel shotguns are a little too strong in their current state."

This is Why the How to Train Your Dragon Series Has to End

Fans of the blockbuster animated franchise were no doubt elated to see the new trailer for How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, the third and final installment of this epic fantasy trilogy, when it premiered earlier today. But in this world of endless franchising, it may be hard to believe that this is really the "final" installment. Aren't there fourteen Land Before Time movies, after all? (Don't bother looking it up. There are.)

But according to director Dean DeBlois, who co-directed the original How to Train Your Dragon and directed the next two films solo, the acclaimed series really does have a finite conclusion. How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World will finally explain why, if the series takes place in the past, there are no more dragons flying around today. And apparently, we are all going to need to bring tissues.

Fallout 4 Wasn’t Originally Set In Boston

Fallout 4 wasn't always going to be set in Boston, Bethesda Game Studios has revealed.

In a new documentary from Noclip which chronicles Bethesda's history, Design Director Emil Pagliarulo said that the original design documents for Fallout 4 used New York as the setting. However, New York was just one of the ideas the team was toying with.

As journalist and narrator Danny O'Dwyer explained in the documentary, San Francisco was also on the table. In fact, O'Dwyer said, to keep San Francisco open as a potential setting for future games, Bethesda asked developer Obsidian Entertainment to remove a line of dialogue from Fallout: New Vegas which described the city as being "totally wiped off the map."

How Batman & Robin Changed George Clooney’s Career

More than two decades after he starred as the Caped Crusader, George Clooney has named Batman & Robin as the major turning point of his acting career.

Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, Clooney revealed the the 1997 Joel Schumacher film had a tremendous influence on him.

“It’s really easy to pick: Batman & Robin,” said the Oscar-winning actor of the movie that most influenced his career. “That’s not a joke. Up until that moment, I was an actor only concerned with finding work. After the failure of that film creatively, I understood that I needed to take control of the films I made, not just the role. My next three films were Out of Sight, Three Kings and O Brother, Where Art Thou?”

DC Relaunches Vertigo With 7 New Comics

DC Entertainment is rolling out the new DC Vertigo imprint with seven original comics by a variety of creators not only from the world of comics but television, video games, music, podcasting, and activism.

In its heydey in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Vertigo was home to some of DC’s most popular and award-winning non-superhero comics -- The Sandman, Y: The Last Man, and Fables, just to name a few -- but much of that acclaim faded with the departure of Vertigo founder and lead editor Karen Berger. A relaunch overseen by new lead editor Shelly Bond was attempted in 2013, but it was shuttered after receiving mixed critical reception and low sales. This latest attempt sees former Batman group editor Mark Doyle taking the reins. A press release from DC said that under Doyle’s leadership, DC Vertigo will be “rededicating its focus to creating modern, socially relevant, high-concept, inventive stories appealing to readers of all genres.”
