Everything You Need to Know About Game of Thrones’ Age of Heroes

You're about to hear a lot more about the Age of Heroes, a period predating the events of Game of Thrones by thousands of years.

HBO has ordered a pilot for one of the four Game of Thrones prequels in development, with George R. R. Martin noting that more could be greenlit: "Everything I am told indicates that we could film at least one more pilot, and maybe more than one, in the years to come,” Martin wrote on his blog. “We do have an entire world and tens of thousands of years of history to play with, after all.”

HBO's official logline for the new series reads: "Taking place thousands of years before the events of Game of Thrones, the series chronicles the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’s history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know."

Spyro Reignited Trilogy’s Box Art Takes a Cue From Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy

New box art for the Spyro Reignited Trilogy shows off three distinct locations that pull from the games included in the compilation, much like the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy's box art did did.

Check out the Spyro box art below:

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy includes remakes of Spyro the Dragon, Ripto's Rage! and Year of the Dragon, all of which were originally developed by Insomniac Games for the original PlayStation. Enemies from all three games can be found in the art, though one of the most interesting inclusion is of the titular baddie from the second Spiro game, Ripto, who's just to the right of Spyro in the art.

Hands-On with Resident Evil 7 on Switch: It’s as good as your internet connection

Resident Evil 7: Cloud Version, currently available for Switch only in Japan, is a bold release for Capcom: The game can only be played via cloud streaming. After testing the game in multiple environments, we can confirm that it works better than you’d expect, especially if you’ve been disappointed in the past with services such as PlayStation Now – but still it comes with some problematic caveats.

Loading Resident Evil 7 is a little different than the average Switch game. The app itself is only 42MB, and can be downloaded for free from the Japanese eShop. After launching the app, you are connected to the server to start playing. You can then play for 15 minutes for free, or pay 2,000 yen (about $18) to access the full game for 180 days. You never install the game locally to your Switch – everything is handled via streaming.

Valve Removes Controversial Games About AIDS, ISIS from Steam

Valve has removed controversial games AIDS Simulator, ISIS Simulator, Asset Flip Simulator and Triggering Simulator from the Steam Store, as was first noticed by Twitter user @RobotBrush and reported by GI.biz. IGN has also discovered via Steam Tracker, which tracks Steam games' status changes, that Valve has removed Suicide Simulator and Blackscreen Simulator.

These banned games were all created by developer BunchOD00dz. A developer in only the broadest sense of the term, BunchOD00dz cobbled together each game using pre-purchased assets and development toolkits. Asset Flipper takes its name from this process in a not-so-subtle joke about how easy it has historically been to get just about anything approved for sale on Steam.
