Skull and Bones Beta Revealed
At its E3 conference today, Ubisoft gave an update on Skull and Bones, showing off a new gameplay trailer and revealing a beta.
Though the beta test didn't get a date, beta registration is open for PS4, Xbox One, and PC now. The gameplay trailer showed ship customization, a surprise attack on an enemy ship, and explained some of the ship combat mechanics.
Ubisoft first revealed Skull and Bones at last year’s E3. At the time, Ubisoft said it would feature a story campaign and that the team at Ubisoft Singapore didn’t want it to feel like an Assassin’s Creed game.
The Division 2 is Getting Raids, Free Content Updates
Ubisoft today announced The Division 2, the follow up sequel to Massive Entertainment's shared-world shooter, will be getting large-scale raids for the first time.
"For the first time, eight players will be able to partner up to face the ultimate end game challenge," said Julian Gerighty, Creative Director of The Division 2. "Raids are coming to The Division 2."
In addition to the announcement, Gerighty also revealed free content updates for The Division 2 players. "Today we’re ready to outline our plans for year one.”
“We will be launching three DLCs in the form of episodes, each one will bring new story, new areas to explore, and new activities," Gerighty said. "And the best part, all of these episodes will be complete free. For everyone."
Why The Elder Scrolls 6 Might Be Set in Familiar Grounds
Like many fans, I spent the last few minutes of Bethesda's E3 conference hootin' and hollerin' as my dreams came true when the words "The Elder Scrolls VI" came into view. I was doubly excited that the coastline featured in the teaser trailer apparently dashed those terrifying rumors of a "Skyrim 2", but then I started to wonder, "Where could this be?".
The five other main Elder Scrolls games have taken us to almost every corner of Tamriel. Arena actually encompassed most of the continent, letting you travel across the provinces, while Daggerfall encompassed parts of High Rock and Hammerfell. Morrowind was set in its namesake region, while Oblivion was centered in Cyrodiil, and finally, Skyrim in... Skyrim.

Multiple sources have since claimed those consoles (plural) are codenamed "Scarlet."
Thurott was the first to report the news yesterday, referring to the next generation of Xbox hardware as a "series of devices." Game Informer then followed up with its own report this morning, writing that"numerous sources" of its own had confirmed the Scarlet codename.
