PUBG is Suing Fortnite For Copyright Infringement in Korea

PUBG Corp., the subsidiary of Korean publisher Bluehole and the studio behind PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Epic Games for copyright violation over its own popular Battle Royale game, Fortnite.

The Korea Times reports that an injunction has been filed with the Seoul Central District Court alleging copyright infringement against Epic Games Korea. The suit, which was allegedly filed in January, was created "to determine whether the latter's "Fortnite" was copied from the former's "PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds."

PUBG Corp. first suggested it was contemplating action over the similarities between PUBG and Fortnite back in September.

How Wrestling Has Become Entertainment for Everyone

Earlier this year, I attended my first independent wrestling show after a long love affair with the sport, and a growing interest in Australia's wrestling scene. Standing in the queue, I made idle conversation with a gentleman who soon turned to me in surprise, proclaiming, "You know a lot about wrestling, don't you?" While he didn't go so far as to add 'for a girl' to his churlish statement, the implication was as clear as his surprise.

Wrestling has long been seen as a sport 'by men, for men', an exclusive club dominated by masculine ideals and misogyny. But wrestling, like any entertainment medium, changes with the times, and recent years have seen it blossom into a unique and brilliant art form with stories and characters for everyone. It's part of the reason why I love wrestling so much.

Killer7 is often remembered for its stylistic gameplay and storytelling along with its clean art style. For more on the PC version of Killer7, check out the game's Steam page.

Harry Potter Hogwarts Mystery’s Biggest Problem Isn’t Its Energy Mechanic

The question “what Hogwarts House would you be in?” is still a conversational ice-breaker among millenials, over 21 years since JK Rowling first let Harry out the cupboard under the stairs.

It’s asked at dinner parties to friends just met; on Tinder to potential suitors; and has become so trusted-a-method of ascertaining one’s character, it’s a wonder it’s not replaced Myers-Briggs. The reason is simple. The only thing that fascinates us more about the labyrinthine corridors of Hogwarts is what it’d be like to walk in them.

So when Jam City announced it was making a Harry Potter mobile RPG that would “make players feel for the first time like they’re attending Hogwarts,” the internet detonated like an erumpent horn. Finally, fans would be able to experience life at Hogwarts - actually seeking adventure in JK Rowling’s rich world, rather than passively reading about it or watching Daniel Radcliffe live it.
