Avengers: Infinity War First Reactions
Disney screened Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War for members of the Los Angeles media, some lucky fans and members of the Marvel family tonight ahead of its upcoming premiere. Those in attendance were allowed to share their opinions on social media directly after the screening, and the reactions thus far have been positive, albeit with some issues and a firm warning to expect the unexpected. Here's a roundup.
An effusive Kevin Smith broke embargo by a good couple of hours, saying that Avengers: Infinity War was "epic beyond compare".
Major Switch Exploit Could Lead to Piracy, Homebrew
A major exploit in the Nintendo Switch's Nvidia chip has been discovered, and could reportedly turn the device into a haven for hackers.
In order to make the public and the Switch's hardware manufacturers aware of the exploit (thus keeping it out of the realm of those who want to use it for nefarious reasons), it was first made public by hardware hacker Kate Temkin and others at ReSwitched, a website dedicated to the hacking of Nintendo's console to allow homebrew software.
As Temkin describes, the 'Fusée Gelée' exploit is baked into the read-only memory of the Nvidia Tegra X1 used in the Switch, and therefore can't be patched in a software update. In order to access the exploit, you need to put your Switch into recovery mode (using a piece of wire) to execute extra data during boot time. Temkin has outlined the exploit in a plain language FAQ for those less technically-minded.

Boom! Studios and WWE have teamed up to bring fans WWE: Undertaker, "an all-new original graphic novel exploring the career of the legendary Superstar, considered one of the greatest performers in WWE history."

"Deep-dive into how he got hooked up with Pall Bearer. A deep-dive into his relationship with Kane. Trying to imagine what conversations between the two of them would have been like backstage after Kane debuts and the Undertaker realizes that this brother that he thought had died when he was a child, is still alive." Science Confirms Uranus Stinks
Scientists have found evidence the clouds of Uranus are comprised of hydrogen sulfide which is pretty smelly stuff.
A paper published in Nature Astronomy explains the clouds have always appeared to be made up of ammonia or hydrogen sulfide but scientists had been unsure which until this recent survey using the Gemini-North Near-infrared Integral Field Spectrometer in Hawaii.
Previous observations indicated Uranus's cloud top of the main cloud deck had pressures levels between 1.2 bar and 3 bar leading scientists to believe the clouds consisted of either ammonia or hydrogen sulfide but enough information was not available to ascertain in what quantities.
A University in Ohio Will Offer a Fortnite Scholarship
Ashland University is looking to bring in the best Fortnite: Battle Royale players and is offering a scholarship to do so.
Tech Crunch reports the Ohio University is adding the popular battle royale game to its esports program line up and is looking to incentivise the best players to join.
This means the relatively new Fortnite will join the likes of League of Legends, Overwatch, CS: Go, and Rocket League as a part of the school's competitive esports program.
“Fortnite appeals to both the core and casual gaming audience,” Ashland University's esports head coach Josh Buchanan said. “We’re excited to provide this platform for gamers who want to showcase their skills in a more competitive space. Fortnite facilitates an environment that allows players to get creative, innovate and show off their mastery of their skills.”
Where the Infinity Stones Are Now In Marvel Comics
With Avengers: Infinity War hitting theaters featuring a story where Earth’s mightiest heroes try to stop Thanos from collecting all of the Infinity Stones, it won’t surprise you to hear that the folks at Marvel Comics are also rolling out a big story featuring those rainbow-colored rocks. Titled "Infinity Wars," it will also see various characters banning together in a massive conflict centered around the Infinity Stones.
As you may know, the powerful MacGuffins used to be called “Infinity Gems” in the comics, but thanks to 2015’s Secret Wars storyline that rejiggered the Marvel Universe, they were reintroduced as the “Infinity Stones” due to a power far greater than any force in the cosmos: corporate synergy. The colors have been switched up to match the movies, too.

Nintendo’s 8 Mystery Labo Toy-Con that are Still MIA
Just like Nintendo's biggest franchises (Zelda, Mario, and Pokémon) Labo’s Toy-Con deserve all of the attention it’s inevitably going to receive. As of its Friday launch last week, we now have six different Toy-Con: the RC car, Fishing Rod, House, Motorbike, Piano, and Robot suit. But Nintendo’s reveal trailer showcased at least eight more Toy-Con that we’ve yet to see since then. In lieu of their availability, I put together a few ideas of how we think these eight mystery Toy-Con could work with Switch.
Okay, it's a fun looking bird -- I’ll give it that. But how in the world does Nintendo plan on turning a cardboard bird into an enjoyable play experience on Switch?
GoT Showrunners Recorded Rick and Morty ‘Pickle Rick’ Episode Commentary
Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss recorded audio commentary for one of the most well-known Rick and Morty episodes, "Pickle Rick."
Entertainment Weekly reports Benioff, Weiss, and Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage offered their takes on the fan-favorite episode. "Pickle Rick" follows Rick turning himself into a pickle to avoid going to family counseling with Morty, Beth, and Summer.
Benioff calls the monologue Rick gives to the family therapist “maybe the best writing in 2017.” Meanwhile, Weiss says it's “the perfect Rick monologue followed by an even better Rick monologue.” The showrunners have long been fans of the critically-acclaimed series.
