Black Panther Helps February Box Office Pass $1 Billion

For the first time in domestic box office history, ticket sales for the month of February reached a whopping $1 billion.

Black Panther is primarily responsible for this landmark achievement. According to Deadline, comScore reports ticket sales for the record-breaking Marvel movie make up 43 percent ($428.8 million) of all of February's ticket sales in the United States and Canada.

The prior record holder was February 2012, which garnered a total of $818.4 million thanks to the success of Safe House, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, and The Vow.

WWE 50-Man Royal Rumble to Compete with Infinity War

Though no ticket or broadcast information is available at this time (look for it in the coming weeks), WWE has announced, in partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority, the Greatest Royal Rumble event at the King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27th.

At the Greatest Royal Rumble event, a Royal Rumble match will be held outside of the annual Royal Rumble PPV - featuring 50 WWE Superstars.

As part of this historic card, WWE has noted that fans will see John Cena, Triple H, Roman Reigns, AJ Styles, Braun Strowman, The New Day, Randy Orton, Bray Wyatt, and Shinsuke Nakamura, among others - though the press release wasn't clear as to whether, specifically, these men would be in the Rumble match or just somewhere else on the show.

Alongside our recent hands-on session with Detective Pikachu, we had a chance to get up close and personal with the gigantic new Detective Pikachu amiibo, a super-sized version of the mystery-solving Pokemon with some unique abilities.

You can check out more than a dozen brand new images of the XL amiibo, including a few photos next to the regular-sized Pikachu amiibo from the Super Smash Bros. series, in the gallery below:

The Detective Pikachu Amiibo doesn't work how we assumed when it was first revealed. While we knew the amiibo would provide "some useful hints," it only unlocks those hints and clues after you've completed a chapter. Then, from the home screen, you can tap the amiibo to the bottom screen to see every "Pika Prompt" from a chosen chapter.

XBLIG Classic, One Finger Death Punch Getting a Sequel

One Finger Death Punch is getting a sequel, and if you don't know why that's exciting then you haven't played One Finger Death Punch.

Announced by developer Silver Dollar Games on Facebook, One Finger Death Punch 2 will be coming in Spring 2019, according to an early gameplay demo.

Silver Dollar's two-man team have begin making the game in Unity, and have expressed an interest in bringing the game to Steam, Xbox One and PS4 (Nintendo Switch also supports Unity development).

Detective Pikachu Turns Your Favorite Pokemon Into a Middle-Aged Man

This Pikachu is unlike any other you’ve ever encountered in the expansive world of Pokemon. Detective Pikachu wears his signature hat with pride, drinks lots of coffee, and tries to attract women to the best of his ability – even if that means he has to pretend to be a normal, less intelligent Pikachu in the process.

Up to this point, Pikachu has always been known for its cuteness, whether it was Ash’s Pikachu or another. The director, Naoki Miyashita, and producer, Hiroyuki Jinnai, of Detective Pikachu felt it’d be interesting to make Pikachu act in an entirely opposite way someone would expect of the iconic character.

“We kind of felt the opposite of cute is really this middle-aged man type of character,” Miyashita said.

Overwatch Getting New StarCraft Skin

In celebration of StarCraft's 20th anniversary, many Blizzard games are getting themed rewards, including a new skin for Overwatch.

The StarCraft website details the coming month's celebrations which include a video feature and anniversary live stream as well as the in-game rewards.

Between March 6 and April 3 Overwatch players will be able to unlock a special Sarah Kerrigan Ghost skin for Widowmaker, modelled after her likeness before being infested by the Zerg:
