Westworld Mobile Game: Register for Early Access

Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that players can now pre-register for the upcoming Westworld mobile game.

Developed by Behaviour Interactive, the game is based on the HBO series and lets fans step into the shoes of a Delos Trainee, affording them control over their own Delos Park simulation.

Players will be responsible for the "manufacturing and care-taking of artificially intelligent hosts" as well as "satisfying guest desires".

Order is maintained by optimizing the park and unlocking locations from the series. Players must match guests with corresponding hosts to satisfy their desires and improve their park simulation.

Vice President of WB Games San Fransisco Jonathan Knight believes the app will give fans "a fresh and exciting way to interact with the engrossing themes and enigmatic narrative explored by the Westworld series".

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Hiring to “Increase Quality”

A Square Enix job listing for Final Fantasy 7 reveals that the company is hiring level planners for the game "to meet fan expectations" and "increase quality".

The ad - spotted and translated by Siliconera - appears to be part of a concerted effort to put together a larger core dev team to take the remaster's quality up a notch.

"We’ve come to the conclusion that in order to meet fan expectations we must increase its quality another step higher", reads the translated statement.

"Therefore, in addition to the current members for the Final Fantasy VII Remake development, we must establish a core group that includes level planners, battle planners, designers, engineers, and various types of jobs to tackle on the production of the big title."

Timeless Stars Break Down That Big Premiere Twist

This story contains spoilers from the Season 2 premiere of Timeless, "The War to End All Wars."

As a thank you to the passionate fans that helped "uncancel" the NBC series, Timeless wasted no time in delivering some of the biggest twists of the series in the Season 2 premiere. The hour opened on the jaw-dropping explosion of Mason Industries, and from there, things only got crazier. Lucy (Abigail Spencer), unaware that all her friends on the Time Team survived the explosion set by Rittenhouse, saw no other choice than to join her duplicitous mother Carol (Susanna Thompson) at Rittenhouse and become of the bad guys. But on her first mother/daughter trip to the past to WWI, Lucy's real plan became clear: she was working to destroy the Mothership and strand herself along with her mother and Emma (Annie Wersching) in the past, effectively stopping Rittenhouse's mysterious plans.

Bluepoint’s Next Remake Is Bigger Than Shadow of the Colossus

Bluepoint Games' next project is a remake, but one even greater in scope than its Shadow of the Colossus remake for PS4.

When asked by Digital Foundry (via Eurogamer) if the studio's next project would be an original title, Bluepoint president  Marco Thrush replied, "Well, we could but we're doing another remake."

While Thrush remained tight-lipped on what the next remake might be, he did speak in broad terms about what's next for Bluepoint. "So now our next step is, let's improve the art pipeline, let's improve the engine, let's improve workflow for artists, let's grow on the art side some more to handle our next project because it's a bit bigger," he said.
