Barbara Streisand Cloned Her Dog Twice
Dogs are amazing and wonderful, but the time we spend with them on this Earth is far too short. However, if you're enormously wealthy, you can extend your time with your beloved dog by having a perfect copy made, thanks to science.
Barbara Streisand, the fabulously wealthy and talented star of both 1968's Funny Girl and 2010's Meet the Fockers, had her beloved dog Samantha cloned. Twice.
According to Variety, Streisand wanted her photo for the magazine's upcoming issue to feature her with her dogs, with the Streisand-suggested caption "Send in the clones."
Here’s How John Cena Can Still Face Undertaker at WrestleMania
I know, I know. You're all like "Fowler, shut the hell up with your John Cena vs. The Undertaker obsession. You suck! And you smell like poo!"
True, I haven't exactly been coy about wanting to see Cena face Undertaker in the Deadman's (advertised as such) last match in WWE. In fact, the only person I'm sure wants to see this match happen more than me is...well, John Cena.
Last year, Cena vs. Undertaker was one of the rumored WrestleMania bouts but the the decision was made to put Taker against Roman Reigns and Cena was left in the lurch. He wasn't too publicly vocal about it though he did bring it up, during a promo against The Miz (where in insisted he didn't have the pull everyone thinks he has), who'd, at that point, become his WrestleMania opponent. He basically said something like "If I really had the type of power you think I have, I'd be facing Undertaker instead of you."
Fox’s New Mutants Adding in New Character in Reshoots
A new character will reportedly be added to The New Mutants during reshoots this summer.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox's upcoming X-Men spinoff "will undergo a round of additional photography this summer that will insert a new character into the thriller." The New Mutants was previously stated to open in theaters this April, but last month the film was delayed to February 22, 2019.
With regard to how the Disney-Fox merger is affecting the studio, a Fox insider told THR, "We actually have way more in development and production in Marvel IP than at any point in the history of the studio. There's been zero slowdown on that front given Disney."
How to Stream the 2018 Oscars
The 90th Academy Awards will take place on March 4th, 2018 at Hollywood’s Dolby Theater. Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk and Jordan Peele’s Get Out are just some of the exciting nominees for best picture this year, which should make for an entertaining evening with Jimmy Kimmel acting as host. (You can find our full list of nominations right here, and here's how you can do a last minute cram-session and watch the Oscar nominees online.)
“Secret” Silver Surfer Movie in the Works
While the $52.4 billion merger/acquisition of 20th Century Fox by Disney lumbers forward like Galactus on his way to devour a planet, Fox's Marvel movie plans continue unabated -- for the moment, at least. And aside from the various X-Men flicks in development, that also includes a "secret" Silver Surfer project that is being written by Saga and Y: The Last Man writer/creator Brian K. Vaughan.
The Hollywood Reporter has this news in a story today about the unusual position that Fox execs find themselves in while they await the Disney acquisition. And while no other details were revealed regarding the Silver Surfer movie in the report, it does make sense since we already knew that the studio was looking for ways to utilize their other non-X-Men Marvel characters, namely the Fantastic Four and that group's associated players. Legion showrunner Noah Hawley had previously been reported to be working on a Doctor Doom movie. Both Doom and the Surfer are classic FF figures.
Surprise! Outlast: Bundle of Terror for Released Nintendo Switch
Surprise! Outlast: Bundle of Terror has been released for Nintendo Switch on the eShop. Developer Red Barrels initially announced the port via Facebook and quickly went silent, until now.
Outlast: Bundle Of Terror assembles the first game and its Whistleblower DLC into one terrifying little package, slaps on a $19.99 price tag, and eagerly awaits to shorten your life with some heart-pounding horror.
The release date for the Switch version of Outlast II is still unknown, but taking into account how Red Barrels just jump-scared the original onto the eShop without warning, we could theoretically be getting it anytime.
Outlast: Bundle Of Terror is now available on Nintendo Switch for $19.99.
Blizzard Teases Overwatch Hero 27 and Their Weapon
Two new teaser images appear to reveal the new Overwatch Hero’s weapon and the long rumoured cat in a jet pack.
Blizzard are gearing up to reveal hero 27 and have followed up last week’s teaser story content with two new images on the Official Overwatch Twitter account. Previously, fans had been lead to believe that Emre Sarioglu would be hero 27, but these two new images heavily indicate our new hero may in fact be Törbjorn’s daughter and weapons specialist, Brigitte.
ESRB Will Add ‘In-Game Purchases’ Label to Games Following Loot Box Controversies
The Entertainment Software Rating Board has announced that it will be assigning labels to physical games with microtransactions.
Consumers will be warned about elements such as season passes, virtual currency and loot boxes by the new "In-Game Purchases" sticker. The label will also be present "wherever those games can be downloaded" in the near future.
ESRB's goal is to provide parents with "comprehensive tools" to make decisions on what games are appropriate for their children.
"Parents will know when a game contains offers for players to purchase additional content," ESRB president Patricia Vance said in a statement.
A new website, ParentalTools.org has also been launched alongside a nationwide campaign to make parents aware of the information available to them.
Chrono Trigger Released on Steam
Chrono Trigger is now available on PC, via Steam.
Today Square Enix announced Chrono Trigger, widely considered to be one of the all-time great RPGs, is available on Steam. The release, however, appears to be a port of the poorly received mobile version.
The newly-released Steam version includes two additional dungeons, including the Dimensional Vortex dungeon and the Lost Sanctum dungeon from the DS and mobile versions. The PC version also includes updated graphics and sound, mouse and keyboard as well as controller support, and a new autosave feature in addition to the Save Point functionality of the original. It also contains a remastered soundtrack created under the supervision of Yasunori Mitsuda, the game's original composer.
Hearthstone is Un-nerfing Molten Giant and Moving it into Wild
April is an exciting time for Hearthstone fans each year, as it’s when the game changes the most. Not only is a new expansion released, but it marks the beginning of a new Hearthstone year; when a full year’s worth of cards leave the Standard format. Suddenly hundreds of staple cards – some of which the community has been playing with for up to two years – are gone, and the game is turned on its head.
This year’s set rotation will see us say goodbye to the Year of the Mammoth (and with it the cards from Whispers of the Old Gods, One Night in Karazhan and Mean Streets of Gadgetzan) and say hello to the Year of the Raven. What the first expansion will be, we don’t know yet (but you can take a guess based on the teaser image below), but we do know that there are some important changes coming.
