Black Panther Is Fastest Pre-Selling Superhero Movie
Black Panther has continued to break pre-sale ticket records, becoming both Fandango and Alamo Drafthouse's fastest pre-selling superhero movie.
Black Panther now outpaces all superhero movies in presales, surpassing 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Black Panther set a Fandango record earlier this month for also being the top pre-selling MCU film in the first 24 hours.
According to a Fandango survey of over 1,000 fans intending to see Black Panther, 97% want to see a different kind of superhero film, 95% are excited about the movie's positive messages, and 93% can't wait to see Chadwick Boseman in action as the titular superhero after his performance in Captain America: Civil War.
Which Wasp Is Which in the Ant-Man Movies?
Marvel Comics fans may already be familiar with the Wasp, but this heroine is finally headlining her own MCU movie thanks to Ant-Man and the Wasp. No longer will Hope Van Dyne play second fiddle to a goofball like Scott Lang!
To help prepare you for this new Marvel movie, we're breaking down everything you need to know about The Wasp's comic book background and the difference between original Wasp Janet Van Dyne and her successor Hope Van Dyne.
Avengers don't come with stronger bona fides than the Wasp. She was one of the five original founding members of the team, and she's been a fairly consistent presence in Earth's Mightiest Heroes ever since. Janet Van Dyne's powers not only make her an asset in the field, but her years of experience also make her a role model to younger generations of heroes. And despite some fairly dark periods in her personal life and even a spell where the world believed her to be dead, Janet has never lost that heroic spark.
Kevin Feige Addresses When X-Men Could Join the MCU
Despite Disney's recent acquisition of 21st Century Fox, Fantastic Four and X-Men won't be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon, according to Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige.
In an interview with Vulture, Feige explained the deal between Disney and Fox still has to be figured out before any X-Men, Fantastic Four or other Marvel characters from Fox can be added to the MCU.
“There’s been no communication," Feige said. "We’re not thinking about it. We’re focusing on everything we’ve already announced. If and when the deal actually happens, we’ll start to think more about it. Until then, we have a lot to do.”

Soul Calibur 6 Hands-On: ‘We Cut Off Bits of Each Other’s Clothes and Both Started the Final Round Half-Naked…’
Twenty years after the first Soul Calibur, the visual improvements in Soul Calibur 6 are obvious, but the presentation stays true to the series’ arcade-like roots. While preserving a tension akin to real sword fighting, SC6’s atmosphere is over the top and fantastical. As masters of their respective weapons, each character can pull off techniques based on the real thing, yet they possess a level of physical prowess only possible in games. Flashy moves are executed with simple commands, and before you know it your character’s blade will be engulfed in colorful flames. Parry an attack, and Calibur creates tension by going into a very brief slow-motion sequence. Compared to 2017’s For Honor, which took a more realistic approach to sword fighting, Soul Calibur VI’s arcade-like presentation feels nostalgic yet refreshing at the same time.
Black Lightning Drops a Big Outsiders Easter Egg
This post contains spoilers for Black Lightning Season 1, episode 3, titled "LaWanda: The Book of Burial," and light spoilers for Judd Winick's run on DC's Outsiders comics.
Black Lightning may not be part of producer Greg Berlanti's interconnected "Arrowverse" (at least not yet), but the latest DC series definitely isn't ignoring its comic book roots.
In episode 3, "LaWanda: The Book of Burial," we got our most overt nod to the source material yet in the form of a literal DC Comics book -- Outsiders #16, "Island Girls" -- when Anissa (Nafessa Williams) met Grace Choi (Chantal Thuy) in a library and the two proceeded to bond over their appreciation for superheroes.

"They believe their picks should reflect the values of today’s game industry and will dedicate this year’s award to honor the pioneering and unheard voices of the past."

Rumors, Clues, and Theories to Know About Cloverfield 3
Beyond the previously released plot description for the next Cloverfield project, which was previously known God Particle, there’s not much available about what the third Cloverfield movie is. Thankfully, the Cloverfield alternate reality game has picked up again, and that means there's a new trail of breadcrumbs to follow, in addition to plenty of rumblings around the film's actual release.
IGN is diving into what has already been teased about the film, its recent production shifts, and just what exactly that may all mean for the film's plot.
Almost everything about this next Cloverfield — and whatever it actually may be called — is supposed at this point, with producer Bad Robot remaining relatively tight-lipped about its development and production. (This is no surprise given Bad Robot announced 10 Cloverfield Lane two months before its release.)
