Bryan Singer No Longer Directing Queen Biopic

20th Century Fox's upcoming Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, will no longer be directed by Bryan Singer.

"Bryan Singer is no longer the director of Bohemian Rhapsody," the studio said in a statement provided to The Hollywood Reporter. Earlier this month, Fox stopped production on the film due to the "unexpected unavailability" of the director.

Singer was reportedly absent during production multiple times, causing Tom Hollander—who stars in the film as Queen manager Jim Beach—to allegedly quit for a brief period before being persuaded to return. Shazam! Star Compares DC Movie to Guardians of the Galaxy

Shazam! star Zachary Levi thinks the upcoming DC movie could be similar to Guardians of the Galaxy.

While speaking at the Heroes and Villains Fan Fest in San Jose this weekend (via Heroic.Gateway), Levi praised director James Gunn's Marvel film about the unlikely intergalactic heroes. According to Levi, who will play Earth's Mightiest Hero in the movie, Shazam! could have the same lighthearted comedic tone as Guardians.

"James Gunn and the gang killed it," Levi said of Guardians. "I think Shazam kind of has the possibility to do that."

The reason Levi likens Shazam! to Guardians of the Galaxy is because Shazam is not like most DC superheroes, such as Batman and Superman.

Scott Wants Less Aliens, More AI in Future Alien Movies

Ridley Scott wants to focus less on Xenomorphs in the next Alien movie and instead explore the threat of AI.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Scott revealed he is planning to make an Alien film that further explores the capabilities of artificial intelligence. "I think what we have to do is gradually drift away from the alien stuff," he said.

"People say, 'You need more alien, you need more face pulling, need more chest bursting,' so I put a lot of that in Covenant and it fitted nicely," Scott said. "But I think if you go again you need to start finding another solution that's more interesting. I think AI is becoming much more dangerous and therefore more interesting."
