GTA Online: Doomsday Heist Update Coming Next Week

GTA Online will add an "epic" new heist activity, titled 'The Doomsday Heist' on Tuesday, December 12.

Coming for PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of the game, the update also appears to add new vehicles and equipment to GTA V's multiplayer mode. All previous updates to GTA Online have been free, so we'd assume this will be too.

The Doomsday Heist itself looks to be an even less serious approach to high crime than we're used to from GTA Online - the trailer includes an existential threat on Los Santos, an AI called Clifford, futuristic jetpacks and tanks and, most excitingly, flying DeLorean-style and submersible Lotus Esprit-style cars.

The official press release describes it as:

X-Men: Dark Phoenix: First Plot Details Revealed

We knew X-Men: Dark Phoenix would retell the classic X-Men storyline bungled in 2006's The Last Stand - and now we know how it will do that.

If you don't want to know any plot details for the next X-Men film, turn back now.

As reported by EW, Dark Phoenix will see the younger cast of the franchise in 1992 - around 10 years after X-Men: Apocalypse. The mutant team are now national heroes, with James McAvoy's Charles Xavier landing on the cover of Time Magazine - and inflating his ego a little too far.

Why Black Panther Might Have the Last Infinity Stone

All but one of the six Infinity Stones, the orange Soul Stone, have showed up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With the release of the new Infinity War trailer, we have a pretty strong feeling that it resides in Wakanda with Black Panther.

If you haven't already, check out the trailer below.

The trailer for Infinity War shows a massive battle taking place in a location that appears to be Wakanda or just outside of it, with a big team of Avengers leading the charge alongside Black Panther and the Wakandan army. They’re fighting against the Outriders, the alien army belonging to Thanos. Thanos is out to gather all the Infinity Stones to complete the Infinity Gauntlet and gain god-like power, so if he’s sending his army to invade Wakanda, it seems obvious that an Infinity Stone is there.

Destiny 2: Some Endgame Content Now DLC-Locked

Bungie has once again come under fire from Destiny 2's playerbase - this time, thanks to some additional restrictions imposed by the Curse of Osiris expansion, which has raised the power levels necessary for Prestige strikes beyond the capacity of vanilla Destiny 2 players.

As reported by Polygon, the expansion raises the level cap from 300 to 330; this has accordingly led to a rise in recommended power levels for the game's more challenging endgame content, which revolves around the game's Raid system and the weekly Nightfall strike. While these events are still open to everyone, the Prestige - or highest-level - versions of these activities are now locked to anyone under the power cap, meaning that any players who haven't purchased Curse of Osiris can no longer access the highest-level endgame content.

Hulu Might Become the ‘Foundation’ of Disney Streaming

If Disney completes its mooted buyout of 21st Century Fox, it may use Fox's stake in Hulu as the foundation of its own streaming service.

Disney's recently stated its intention to create its own streaming service - ending a deal with Netflix - but there's been no news as to what form such a streaming service might take. If an article in Variety is to be believed, the answer to that question might be tied into the latest reveal that Disney has reignited talks to buy 21st Century Fox.

Destiny 2: DLC Weapon Shipped with Bug, Bungie Confirms

Destiny 2's first expansion, Curse of Osiris, has now launched, bringing with it a slew of new additions to the game - including, in one instance, a heavily-overpowered weapon that is wreaking havoc in the PvP game modes.

The Prometheus Lens, an exotic trace rifle, is a highly stable weapon with great range - and it comes with a laser that can tear enemies to shreds in just a few seconds, making it by far the game's most powerful weapon. Gamers have been vocal about the weapon on the Destiny subreddit, as laser carnage reigns over the current PvP arena.

Responding, Bungie confirmed that the weapon is bugged; although no further details are given, Bungie's Community Manager DeeJ promises that the issue will be addressed:
