Harry Potter Mobile RPG Announced
Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery - a "narrative role-playing game" - has been announced for release on mobile devices.
Developed by Jam City and published under Warner Bros. new Harry Potter games label, Portkey, the game will allow players to create a character and play through multiple years studying at the eternally unsafe school of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
"Along the way players will participate in all of the magical classes and activities they have come to love", reads a press release, "like Defence Against the Dark Arts, Potions, Duelling Club, and more. Most of the iconic professors from the Harry Potter stories reprise their roles in the game."

Destiny 2: Bungie Apologises for Content-Locking, Fix Incoming
Following fan outcry, Bungie has announced that it will change certain decisions that lock Destiny 2 players out of certain content if they don't own the new Curse of Osiris expansion.
In a blog post, Bungie admits that it's "clear that we've made some mistakes" with its handling of content access, and promises that these issues will be fixed in a patch scheduled to go live today, December 12.
The Curse of Osiris expansion raised the power levels required for Prestige activities from 300 to 330, locking out players who haven't bought the cap-raising expansion pack. Bungie's reasoning is that it wanted its activities to "remain relevant to players as they grow more powerful", referencing a common complaint from the first game that early activities like the Vault of Glass lost relevance as players advanced. The idea behind raising the power cap was to ensure that Normal Raids and Nightfalls would remain accessible, but Prestige would always provide a challenge, and would therefore require players to be up-to-date with the latest expansions.
The Doomsday Heist Feels like GTA Online’s Campaign Mode
We’ve already played the First Act and spent a good five hours mucking about in flying cars, obliterating each other with orbital lasers and zipping around the city in jetpacks mounted with miniguns. It’s eccentric and ridiculous, as you desperately try to avert a potential apocalypse from engulfing the city of Los Santos. Since it’s out today, there’s not much point going through specifics of what you actually do, but instead here’s a detailed overview of how it works and some of the coolest stuff it adds to GTA Online.
Unlike previous heists, which were discrete missions, The Doomsday Heist tells a much bigger, campaign-quality story that raises the stakes to an absurd level. Egotistical billionaire entrepreneur Avon Hertz (think Elon Musk), with the assistance of his artificial intelligence Clifford (think Siri meets Jarvis), find evidence that some outside party is planning to destroy all life. With the help of Lester, you and your team are recruited to save not only Los Santos but life as we know it.
Designing Portalcraft’s Artifacts, Puppets and Resonance
Cygames has some very big plans in store for Shadowverse at the tail end of 2017. On December 28, the game is going to change irrevocably, with the introduction of two formats: Rotation, which allows Basic cards plus the five most recent sets, and Unlimited, which encompasses all 1000-odd cards that will exist at that point. December 28 will also see the new Chronogenesis card packs become available (check out our exclusive card reveals here), and with it, a whole new class – Portalcraft!
The Shadowverse community was very much expecting formats to be introduced before too long, but the announcement of a new class this far into the game’s life came as a very pleasant surprise. How did this come about? “From the beginning we’d considered having eight classes as being the complete set of classes,” says Yuito Kimura, Game Producer and Executive Director at Cygames. “We do understand that some people might feel that seven might be too few, so we decided to add another class now that the game’s been out for a while. And now that we’ve finally introduced this eighth class we feel the class set is now complete.”
Every Pop Culture Easter Egg in Ready Player One – Trailer 2
The new trailer for Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One is here, and if you can look past Wade Watts’ extremely long leg on the poster, you’ll find yet another treasure trove of pop culture references from the upcoming adaptation of Ernie Cline’s novel.
Tracer of the Overwatch series is seen charging into battle, alongside Lara Croft, and Chun-Li of the Street Fighter series, which is well-represented throughout. Blanka, Sabat, and Ryu are all visible at one point or another.
That big battle sequence, of course, is full of other characters ready to take down the evil Sixers. The Iron Giant makes another appearance, having debuted in the first trailer, but we also get a look at an RX-78-2 Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam, not to mention the Battletoads! Chucky from the Child’s Play series executes a pretty slick digital throat slice against a Sixer. Parzival rouses the crowd by raising a boombox, a move he stole right from Lloyd Dobler from Say Anything… Chances are, that boombox is playing something a little more upbeat than Peter Gabriel’s “In Your Eyes”. Speaking of sweet 80s tunes, we see King Kong jumping perfectly in sync with Van Halen’s hit, “Jump”. Watch the full trailer below:

Capcom Wants to Port More Games to Switch
Capcom is interested in bringing more ports to the Nintendo Switch, with a focus on games previously unavailable to Nintendo fans.
Capcom CEO Kenzo Tsujimoto made the statement in a recent interview with The Nikkei, according to a Twitter post by Dr. Serkan Toto, CEO of Tokyo-based game industry consultancy firm, Kantan Games.
In a new interview with The Nikkei, Capcom CEO Tsujimoto just served up another Switch teaser.
He says the home + portable console concept works better than expected and that Capcom wants to port games to the Switch that were not available on Nintendo consoles previously.
Bumblebee: Hailee Steinfeld Talks Transformers Spin-off
Bumblebee: The Movie, a spin-off of the live-action Transformers film series, could be the first entry in a new film franchise.
As the film's lead actor Hailee Steinfeld told IGN: “I think that we'll see how the first one does, how people receive it and how it turns out and then hopefully start the conversation and what happens after that.”
The ‘80s set film, a prequel to 2007’s Transformers, has finished shooting and is scheduled to be released December 21, 2018.
“I liked the opportunity of creating something new and different but obviously it is under the same roof of these films that I am a fan of,” Steinfeld revealed. “I didn’t have any reservations, maybe a few nerves just because of the fact the fan base is so incredibly loyal and hardcore. I wanted to make a film that they’ll love. This movie is, of course, part of the Transformers legacy but it is a standalone film and it is its own story and it goes back in time to the '80s before any of the Transformers
Creed 2 Sets New Director
MGM and Warner Bros. have chosen newcomer Steven Caple Jr. to direct Creed 2, the direct sequel to the 2015 sports drama based on Sylvester Stallone's Rocky franchise.
Variety says that although Stallone originally wanted to direct, he and returning star Michael B. Jordan ultimately decided to go for new blood, eventually landing on Caple Jr.
The next Rocky movie will focus on Adonis Creed (Jordan) as he continues his quest to become a champion, as well as his personal life outside the ring. Jordan, Stallone, and Tessa Thompson will all reprise their roles in the sequel.
