Star Wars: The Last Jedi Ending Explained
Star Wars: The Last Jedi has arrived, and there is so much to talk about! Of course, that includes the ending of the film, but before we get started be warned...

There is no cliffhanger at the end of Star Wars: The Last Jedi as game-changing or revelatory as “I am your father,” but the Rian Johnson film certainly does leave the galaxy open to a lot of new possibilities. Here’s a breakdown of the key moments at the end of the movie, and what they mean for Star Wars: Episode IX. Again, full spoilers follow...
In a surprising turn, Johnson chose not to close the movie on a shot of Rey or one of The Last Jedi’s main characters, but instead on the young orphan Rose and Finn met on Canto Bight. This ends up being one of the most important scenes of the movie.

When Rey hands Luke his lightsaber, if you look closely at the back of his mechanical hand, it still has the same burn scar from when it was shot by a blaster bolt during the fight above the Sarlacc pit at the beginning of Return of the Jedi.
Luke drinks green milk from an alien, a nod to the blue milk he drank at a meal with his aunt and uncle in A New Hope.
At one point Luke mentions “Darth Sidious,” the only time he’s ever referred to Emperor Palpatine by that name, and a subtle bit of connective tissue to the prequels.
Funimation and Crunchyroll to Stream Over 6 New Winter Anime
Crunchyroll and Funimation have announced some of the new anime they'll be simulcasting for this winter season.
Along with Citrus and the Junji Ito Collection, Crunchyroll and Funimation (via FunimationNow) will be simulcasting DARLING in the FRANXX, Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody, Katana Maidens ~ Toji No Miko, Basilisk: The Ouka Ninja Scrolls, and Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens. In addition, as part of Funimation's Winter 2018 SimulDub lineup will also be simulcasting Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card.
CoD:WW2 Was the Best Selling Game of November and 2017
Activision's decision to return the Call of Duty franchise to its World War 2 setting has paid off for the company, with Call of Duty: WWII topping the US video game sales charts for November 2017.
Not only did it come out on top for November, according to The NPD Group, but Call of Duty: WWII is now the best selling game of 2017. It's also the best selling game of the last 12 months.
Overall, spending on software was up 19 percent over the same period last year, with hardware spending up a whopping 52 percent, helped along by Nintendo Switch, which has now sold 10 million units.
Crytek Sues Star Citizen Dev Over Use of CryEngine
Crytek is suing Star Citizen developer Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) for breach of contract and copyright infringement over the use of its CryEngine.
The lawsuit, which names both CIG and Roberts Space Industries as defendants, claims the companies "utterly failed to follow through" on the following promises agreed upon in their Game License Agreement (GLA):
"(i) to use the CryEngine game development platform exclusively and to promote that platform within the video game, (ii) to collaborate with Crytek on CryEngine development, and (iii) to take a number of steps to ensure that Crytek's intellectual property was protected."
HBO Renews Curb Your Enthusiasm for Season 10
Curb Your Enthusiasm is returning for a tenth season.
HBO has announced it's renewed the hit comedy show starring Larry David for Season 10, with production set to begin spring next year. A release date for the new season is not known yet.
“We are thrilled that Larry will be back with his uniquely acerbic wit and comedic sensibility,” Casey Bloys, HBO programming president, said.
Larry David added, “As I’ve said many times, when one has the opportunity to annoy someone, one should do so."
Destiny 2 ‘Dawning’ Holiday Event Kicks Off Next Week
Destiny 2 is celebrating the holiday season with snowball fights, the return of Mayhem mode, weekly Milestone rewards, event-specific gear, and more.
Bungie confirmed it is bringing back the holiday spirit with special event "The Dawning," which lasts from December 19 to January 9. The event will feature exclusive legendary and exotic gear, social space decorations, special Dawning engrams, and gift-giving quests.
Players visiting social areas in the game may notice something different beginning next Tuesday, as the Tower and Farm are festively decorated, but this isn't the only change coming to Destiny 2 on the Dec. 19. Players will be able to loot piles of snow and pelt their friends, and strangers, with snowballs. Hitting enemies in Strikes with snowballs deals significant damage and leaves them stunned, so make sure to take advantage.

19 Nintendo Switch Games Released This Week
Even as the year winds to a close, the Nintendo Switch is still seeing plenty of games arrive on the system, with another dozen added over the next seven days.
19 games, including Yooka-Laylee, Gorogoa, and Mutant Mudds Collection will be arriving on Switch from today through next Wednesday, Dec. 20. Find out the full slate of 19 games and one demo announced so far below:
