Beta Ray Bill Was Dropped From Thor: Ragnarok

Beta Ray Bill almost featured in the latest Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok.

In an interview with CraveOnline, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige revealed the character initially had a cameo in the film. However, because his appearance was too quick, Feige didn't think it did justice to Beta Ray Bill. So, he was ultimately cut from the movie entirely.

"There was a Beta Ray Bill, but it was so quick that you would have the same complaints that you have now," Feige said. "He was in it a little bit more and it just didn’t do justice. And the feeling is, if you can’t do it justice, do it later."

Surgeon Simulator Studio Wants 100,000 People to Play Its New Game – Or It’s Cancelled

Bossa Studios, developer of Surgeon Simulator and I Am Bread, will only continue development of Decksplash if 100,000 people play it during a week-long free trial on Steam.

As noted by Eurogamer, the studio said it will decide the fate of their current game this week. If 100,000 people play the Steam free-trial, which runs from November 2-10, it will launch the game into Early Access. If not, the studio will stop development and Decksplash will not be released.

It may seem that Bossa Studios is giving players an ultimatum, but there is a reason for the decision. "Like any proud parent, we love Decksplash" Bossa said,"but unlike deluded creators, we want to believe that you love it too."

New Details on World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth

During its World of Warcraft-focused panel today at BlizzCon, Blizzard shared a bunch of new details about the game's next expansion, Battle for Azeroth.

The expansion sees the Alliance and Horde in all out war. As such, players will need to seek out lost territories and new resources for the epic battle. World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth features two new continents, Kul Tiras and Zandalar, as well as new dungeons and raids, and a level cap of 120.

Those in the Alliance will travel to Kul Tiras. This ancient human kingdom has a navy that the Alliance really wants, and to receive their aid, players will need to help them with their problems. The area is broken into three regions. Tiragarde Sound, the capital of Kul Tiras, is led by Katherine Proudmoore. There are monster hunters in this area, and the region has trouble with pirates. There's also a wooded region called Drustvar, as well as the lush green Stormsong Valley, which provides ships to Kul Tiras.

World of Warcraft Classic Announced

Blizzard announced World of Warcraft Classic during its BlizzCon 2017 keynote, which is a "classic" server option for WoW.

Classic, which is currently in development at Blizzard, is an attempt to replicate the feeling of playing the original World of Warcraft — though not necessarily how it played right at launch.

“We want to reproduce the game experience that we all enjoyed from the original classic WoW without the launch experience," J. Allen Brack said during the BlizzCon keynote.

IGN spoke to Blizzard at BlizzCon 2016 about the possibility of legacy servers ever coming to the game, and the ensuing months saw Blizzard dealing with private "vanilla" servers. The vanilla private server Nostalrius, after being shut down by Blizzard last year, was reopened at the end of 2016. But the start of 2017 saw the team behind Nostalrius clashing with those making Elysium, another private, legacy server.
