Star Wars: 35 Years of the Battle of Hoth
With the release of Battlefront 2, IGN wanted to look back on the most iconic of Star Wars battles: the Battle of Hoth. Taking place in the opening minutes of The Empire Strikes Back, the Battle of Hoth has endured in our imaginations because of its stark, white landscape and its brave depiction of an outgunned Rebel Alliance trying to hold off the evil Empire against overwhelming odds. While a decided victory for the Empire, the rebels' ability to evacuate (after the sacrifice of many) allowed them to fight another day. Here are just some of the many video game depictions of the Battle of Hoth.
This early attempt at recreating the Battle of Hoth features rudimentary pastel graphics and a very simple version of the AT-AT vs snowspeeder dynamic. Alas, we’d have to wait years before we’d tauntauns, wampas, or droids.

How Justice League Addresses That Missing Team Member
Even though Justice League’s first image of Aquaman sported the phrase “Unite the Seven,” we didn’t get quite that many members on the final movie team. But the movie did find a way to still reference the presumed seventh character.

Xbox One X, S Vudu App Now Supports 4K HDR10
The Vudu app now supports 4K HDR10 streaming on Xbox One X and Xbox One S.
According to Vudu's official blog, those with compatible devices, which also include Nvidia Shield, Roku Ultra, and select smart TVs, can begin streaming HDR content immediately. At launch, the service will offer "over 36 movies" with HDR10 support.
With the addition of HDR10, Vudu looks to bring HDR content to "millions more devices." The video streaming app previously implemented support for Dolby Vision HDR, though that's widely considered to be the less popular of the two HDR formats.

Biomutant Developer Acquired by THQ Nordic
THQ Nordic has acquired Biomutant developer Experiment 101, as well as the Biomutant IP.
According to THQ Nordic CEO Lars Wingefors, the publisher saw "significant potential" in the Swedish studio during the early stages of Biomutant's development, and was especially excited about the IP following "the strong reception Biomutant received at its announcement at Gamescom 2017." Wingefors said THQ Nordic hopes to build Biomutant into one of its "major franchises."
Experiment 101 was founded by former Avalanche Studios developers who worked on Just Cause and Mad Max. Prior to the acquisition, THQ Nordic partnered with the studio to publish Biomutant. The action-RPG is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in 2018.
