Lord and Miller Finally Comment on Han Solo Star Wars Departure
Directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord have described the reason they were sacked from the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars spin-off film, Solo. The pair discussed their removal from the project for the first time in public during a panel at the Vulture Festival in Los Angeles, reports Vulture.
“The experience of shooting the movie was wonderful,” said Lord. “We had the most incredible cast and crew and collaborators. I think in terms of us leaving the project, I think everybody went in with really good intentions and our approach to making the movie was different than theirs. That was a really big gap to bridge, and it proved to be too big.”
Plants vs. Zombies Creator Reportedly Fired by EA
The original creator of Plants vs. Zombies, George Fan, was reportedly let go by publisher EA several years ago after objecting to the pay-to-win model that was subsequently introduced into the series.
Fan's story was only recently told by his friend Edmund McMillen, the mastermind behind The Binding of Isaac and Super Meat Boy. Speaking on Alex Larrabee's Roundtable Podcast, McMillen said that Fan was headhunted by PopCap, where he made Plants vs. Zombies with a very small team. It was, as we all know, hugely successful for the company, but McMillen stresses that it was made with an indie mindset back in 2009.

Every Justice League Member Ever
The Justice League isn’t the first team of superheroes to emerge in the DC Comics Universe, but it’s undoubtedly the most famous.
Read on for our brief history of the team, or watch the video above for the full rundown of ever character who has ever joined the Justice League!
The original Justice League of America was conceived and written by Gardner Fox and debuted in 1960’s “The Brave and the Bold - NUMBER 28”.
That comic united seven pre-existing heroes - Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter - as they joined forces to battle the enormous alien villain known as Starro.
That original team lineup has become affectionately referred to by fans as “The Big Seven.” The exact origin story of the Justice League has changed quite a bit over the years, but for the most part, that founding lineup has remained the same.
DCEU’s CinemaScores: What Audiences Think
The DC Extended Universe just grew in a major way thanks to the release of Justice league. But while some are celebrating the big screen debut of this iconic super-team, others are bemoaning the lukewarm reviews. Still, that's nothing really new for the DCEU. Since the release of 2013's Man of Steel, critics and fans alike have been very divided on the quality of this cinematic universe.
We thought it would be fun to look at the five DCEU films released thus far and see how their CinemaScore rankings (which are determined by polling casual moviegoers) compare to the Rotten Tomatoes scores and the total box office grosses. Justice League’s Box Office Compared to All DCEU Movies
Justice League debuted at the box office with an estimated $94 million domestically, taking the No. 1 spot over the weekend. The team's combined power couldn't quite reach the same heights in comparison to the rest of the DC Cinematic Universe, though.
Check out the chart below to see how Justice League's opening weekend holds up against the rest of DC's recent films, as well as how its initial worldwide cume stacks up. (Numbers via Box Office Mojo)
