Web services provider Yahoo has revealed every one of its 3 billion accounts were likely affected by 2013's data breach.
In 2016 when Verizon began purchasing Yahoo's core business, it believed the number of victimised accounts was closer to one billion.
New intelligence has revealed that the breach was much worse than originally thought and may include all of its accounts.
An official statement from Yahoo stated it "took action to protect all accounts." All users who hadn't changed passwords were required to do so, and the company "invalidated unencrypted security questions and answers," making them unusable for account access.

Telltale’s Batman References Howard Stern Show
Telltale Games has made what is likely the first-ever reference to the Howard Stern radio show in a video game, dropping a "Hit 'em with the Hein!" near the end of the second episode of Batman: The Enemy Within.
As Harley Quinn is firing up her crew before the climactic heist of the episode, titled 'The Pact', she yells, "Hit 'em with the Hein!" – a reference to Stern staffer Jon Hein, who hosts The Wrap-Up Show. Take a look at clip above to see it for yourself.
Ford: Why It Matters If Deckard Is a Replicant
It’s a question almost as old as the movie itself -- is Blade Runner’s Rick Deckard actually a Replicant? Is the hunter also that which he hunts? The true nature of the Harrison Ford character has been shrouded in ambiguity for decades, a fact complicated by the multiple cuts of the 1982 classic film, the various, often contradictory quotes from the people who made the movie (including director Ridley Scott and Ford himself), and of course the very mindset of Blade Runner, which operates in that middle ground between mystery and revelation.
And now, with the release of Blade Runner 2049, the question of Deckard’s status as human or Replicant is coming up once again. I spoke to Ford and the team behind the film recently, and while no one was revealing any spoilers, we did get into what it means to be an android and why this question is so important in the Blade Runner films.
