Street Fighter 5 to (Finally) Get an Arcade Mode Next Year

Street Fighter 5 will get its long-awaited Arcade mode in early 2018, according to an Amazon leak.

A listing for Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition (the second such retailer listing in as many months) includes a rundown of new features coming to the game, including an Arcade mode that will let players "choose from six different paths themed after classic Street Fighter games".

The listing mentions a January 16, 2018 release date. If that's the same day Arcade mode is released, it will have taken almost two years to add a feature we were hoping for in our original review.

Hasbro Reveals New Marvel, Star Wars Figures at NYCC

Hasbro will relaunch Mighty Muggs next year with an assortment of new Star Wars and Marvel vinyl figures, and IGN can provide an exclusive first look at the upcoming toys.

The Marvel and Star Wars Mighty Muggs will be available this coming January 2018. Each figure will have a suggested retail price of $9.99 USD and include a new push-and-turn feature that lets you change their facial expression.

The Marvel set includes Spider-Man, Captain America, Groot, and Black Widow, while the Star Wars set features Darth Vader, Rey, Kylo Ren, Princess Leia, and Luke Skywalker.

Rick and Morty Season 3 Breaks Adult Swim Viewership Record

Rick and Morty Season 3 is over, leaving a viewership milestone for network Adult Swim in its wake.

According to the network, Season 3 was the most-watched comedy show in its history of programming.

Further, according to the Nielsen surveys and Live+7 ratings, Rick and Morty is now the most popular comedy series on television for adults aged 18-34 in the US.

Fortnite: 7 Million Players Passed, Battle Royale Update Live

Fortnite has passed a significant milestone - announcing that the base-building survival game has surpassed 7 million players.

Revealed on Twitter, the 7 million total is an overall figure, combining the total players for the base Fortnite experience, as well as anyone playing the game's separately-downloadable, free-to-play Battle Royale mode. This mode in particular is getting some love as part of the celebrations, with Duos and Supply Drops going live across the Battle Royale version on both consoles and PC.

Forza 7: Controversial VIP Changes Reversed

Alan Hartman, Studio Head of Turn 10 - the developer behind the Forza Motorsport series - has responded to fan outcry around controversial changes to its VIP Member system, penning an open letter to the community and apologising for the upset, assuring fans that a feature is being worked on that will provide double credits for all VIP members, as well as providing an immediate 1 million credit apology.

In previous installments in the Forza Motorsport series, VIP membership was a high-value commodity; not only did it provide exclusive cars and access to VIP-only online events, but it also provided double credits to VIP members, enabling accelerated progress through the game.

Disney Debuts Marvel-Designed Posters for Freeform Shows

Disney's Freeform network revealed four new posters ahead of New York City Comic Con. The posters are designed by Marvel artists and can be obtained during NYCC at the Freeform Live Activation directly across the street from the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The exhibits are for Shadowhunters, Beyond, Siren, and Marvel's Cloak and Dagger. Check out the posters in the image gallery below:

The Jade Wolf restaurant from Shadowhunters comes to life on the show floor, "serving fortune cookies to the public from its take-out cart." Some of the fortune cookies have a "prize" fortune inside, allowing con-goers a chance at a Jade Wolf exclusive t-shirt or poster.

Beyond has a 360-degree video experience based on an iconic scene from the show's first season. After checking it out, fans will get a Beyond poster.
