Team Fortress 2: 10-Year Anniversary Update Revealed

Valve is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of Team Fortress 2 with a massive, multi-day update.

As detailed by Valve, the first part of the update in Jungle Inferno features six new maps. One of the maps, called Mercenary Park, is a jungle-themed three-control point map developed in-house by Valve. Check out an animated trailer for the new update below.

The other five community-created maps are Brazil (King of the Hill), Banana Bay (Payload Race), Enclosure (Payload), Lazarus (King of the Hill) and Mossrock (Attack/Defend). Also included are seven emotes, such as Yeti Punch, Dueling Banjos, and the Soviet Strongarm. The update will roll out over the course of this week.

Dragon Ball Super: What Ultra Instinct Could Mean for the Series

The latest episode of Dragon Ball Super brought with it a crazy new transformation: Ultra Instinct. For the brief time Goku had access to it, he ascended to a power level that was so far beyond any other, so much so that no one could even see his movements. New transformations aren’t uncommon in Dragon Ball, but Ultra Instinct feels different and could very well usher in a new age for the heroes of Dragon Ball Super.

Sony to Publish Nintendo Switch Games Under New Label

A new game publishing label has been formed under Sony Music Entertainment, Unties, with the intention of publishing games across not just Sony platforms, but others including the Nintendo Switch and PC as well.

Sony Music announced Unties first game will be Tiny Metal from developer Area35, coming to PS4, Switch, and PC on November 21, 2017. The military-themed turn-based strategy game is powered by Unreal.

As a separate publishing entity from Sony Interactive Entertainment, Unties under Sony Music is investing in the indie space, regardless of platform. The new publisher's slate of other upcoming games include two coming to PC, with the potential for console releases, as well as a PS4 game with PSVR compatibility.

Han Solo Movie Official Title Revealed

Solo: A Star Wars Story is the official title of Disney and Lucasfilm's upcoming Han Solo movie.

Announced on StarWars.com, director Ron Howard revealed in a video message on Twitter that production on the film has wrapped and said he hopes fans have enjoyed the set pictures he's been sharing over the past few months.

Howard then asked if he could reveal the title of the film, and a Wookie promptly handed him a card bearing the title: "Solo: A Star Wars Story."

Fruit Ninja Is Getting Turned Into a Board Game

It's not just a single game, either. Lucky Duck is hoping to raise enough money through a Kickstarter campaign to fund three separate Fruit Ninja tabletop experiences.

Netflix Aims to Release 80 Original Movies in 2018

Netflix aims to release 80 original films over the course of 2018.

Variety reports that Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos said in an investors' interview that the company intends to release a range of different films, "anywhere from the million-dollar Sundance hit, all the way up to something on a much larger scale."

Some of Netflix's forthcoming large-scale titles include Bright, starring Will Smith, and The Irishman, starring Robert DeNiro, with production costs of $90 and $100 million, respectively. Sarandos believes these original films will bring their movies initiative up to the same scale as television for Netflix.

Stranger Things: Every Major Character

The second season of Netflix's hit science-fiction love letter to the '80s, Stranger Things, will drop on October 27 and promises more intrigue, more darkness, and a steady increase in the number of Ghostbusters costumes. However, before we dive back into the events happening in Hawkins, Indiana (and also the Upside Down), perhaps it would serve us all well to refresh ourselves on the key characters from the first season of Stranger Things.

Big Hero 6: The Series Gets TV Movie Debut Next Month

Disney XD's upcoming Big Hero 6 animated series will debut next month with a one-hour primetime TV movie called Baymax Returns.

The movie will premiere on Monday, November 20 at 8pm ET (check your local listings for local times) on Disney XD and Disney Channel. Baymax Returns will also be available on the DisneyNOW app and Disney XD's video on demand (VOD) service.

After the release of the movie, two full-length preview episodes of Big Hero 6: The Series will be made available exclusively on the DisneyNOW app and Disney XD VOD. An interactive virtual assistant called Pocket Baymax will also be available on DisneyNOW starting November 20.

Wargaming to Launch Local World of Tanks Server for Australia, NZ

Wargaming has confirmed it will be launching a local server for Australian and New Zealand World of Tanks players on November 1, 2017.

The server will commence as a prime time server, available between 6pm to 12pm AEDT.

“A local server is the number one request from our community and we are finally rolling them out on November 1, from 6pm – 12am AEDT,” said Wargaming Australia and New Zealand boss Travis Plane in a statement. “It’s a long time coming but we hope that our players and the community can see that we’re truly committed to investing in Australia and New Zealand.”

“As our player numbers grow and the matchmaking continues to improve, we plan to widen these hours and are aiming for a full-time local server in 2018.”
