Justice League Tracking to Open Less Than Suicide Squad
It appears Justice League might open behind Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming DC superhero ensemble film is tracking to open in the $110 million to $120 million range domestically. This puts it behind BvS' $166 million U.S. opening and Suicide Squad's $133.7 million opening. Still, Justice League is tracking to open ahead of Wonder Woman, which grossed $103.3 million in its first weekend at the U.S. box office earlier this year.
Vin Diesel Reveals Director Justin Lin Back for Fast 9 and 10
Vin Diesel has teased a future roadmap for Fast and Furious 9 and 10, strongly hinting director Justin Lin and co-star Jordana Brewster will be back for both films.
Speaking on Facebook yesterday, Diesel showed on video that he's working with Lin and Brewster on a secret project. After revealing the director on screen, Diesel said, "You wanted 9 and 10 to be incredible. We’ve heard your concerns about the saga and where it needs to arrive in its final chapters."
EW reports that Lin — who directed the third through sixth installments of the series — is in advanced talks to helm the next Fast and Furious film. IGN has reached out to Universal for comment and will update this story should the studio respond.
Orville or Discovery: Which is True Star Trek?
With the near-simultaneous releases of Star Trek: Discovery and The Orville this fall – not to mention the recent 30th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation – it's a good time to be a Trekkie/Trekker. It is also, as some recent online fanboy sparring would indicate – a great time to argue about Star Trek. The release of Discovery – with its darker, more militant tone – has revealed a heretofore unexplored schism in the ranks of Trekkies.
Some fans (on Twitter and elsewhere) are pleased with the fresh, more aggressive, more visually complex rendition of Star Trek, and are happy to see the franchise stretch into new territory. Others, however, are arguing that Discovery's wartime setting, infighting between crew members (which violated a long-standing rule instigated by Gene Roddenberry himself), and lack of weekly diplomacy lessons is violating a cardinal precept of Trek. The latter group has been arguing, in fact, that Seth MacFarlane's sci-fi comedy series The Orville – which is clearly a tribute to/satire of Next Generation – is actually “more Trek” than the new Star Trek. So the question is, which of the two shows is more Trek? Let's break it down.

Up Your Gaming Resolution With the Best 4K Gaming Monitors
Let's be honest; 4K gaming is an expensive proposition. That's because the gaming monitors that support an Ultra HD resolution themselves cost a pretty penny, and then you need to get a graphics card that can run AAA games at that resolution, which is where the real sticker shock happens.
That said, once you've experienced such high-resolution graphics and detail, there really isn't any going back—trust me.
