BioMutant Has the Potential to be a Fantasy Just Cause
Playing through the short, 25-minute demo of the newly-announced BioMutant and speaking with the team from Experiment 101 (founded by former-Avalanche Studios talent who worked on Just Cause and Mad Max) left me thinking that the game has the potential to be something special.
A hybrid of Journey to the West, old kung fu movies, and a post-apocalyptic tale starring all sorts of fuzzy critters, BioMutant immediately stands out as something that’s just different. From the outset, we had the ability to customize our Rocket Raccoon-esque hero in a wealth of ways. Want a tall, thin, green stick of a warrior? How about a stout purple beast that kinda looks like the Cheshire Cat? From moment one, BioMutant gives you the keys to the kingdom, and the freedom to craft whatever kind of hero you want, gender included.

Ubisoft Announces Studio Focused on Online Services
Ubisoft have announced the creation of a new studio — Ubisoft Saguenay — in early 2018.
The company announced the new Quebec-based studio at a press conference which was livestreamed on YouTube (skip to the 27:00 mark, but be warned the conference is in French). For non-Francophones, Ubisoft helpfully simultaneously released a statement, hosted on the Ubisoft Montreal website.
The news follows the announcement earlier this month of yet another new Ubisoft studio, Ubisoft Stockholm, which will be working with Massive Entertainment on its new Avatar title.
Resident Evil 7 DLC Release Date Revealed
Resident Evil 7's long-awaited DLC will be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on December 12, Capcom announced, in conjunction with the game Gold Edition.
Capcom also confirmed the delayed Not a Hero DLC, which has players assume the role of BSAA soldier Chris Redfield, will be available to download for free on December 12 as well, regardless of which copy of Resident Evil 7 players own.
The End of Zoe add-on will focus on one of the Baker daughters, Zoe. The story takes place after the events of the main game. Players will explore new swamp-filled areas and will be battling against new enemies.
Twin Peaks: “No Discussions” for More Episodes
At least for now, Twin Peaks' lead actor has heard nothing about another series of the beloved show.
In the aftermath of Twin Peaks' dark, disturbing finale - which we loved - many fans have been left scratching their heads and wondering what's next for the series. With many questions left unanswered, and even some new questions posed, there still seems to be a lot of processing to be done - and that's also true of the show's stars, at least in the case of Kyle MacLachlan.
In an interview with Deadline, MacLachlan says that he is "very moved" by the finale, and that even he is "not even sure" where he stands on it, other than describing it as "incredibly powerful".
The Last Jedi: Details on Poe Dameron’s X-Wing Revealed
We have a few more details on Poe Dameron's new vehicle of choice for the movie, a souped-up X-Wing known as "Black One", which has been modified by the Resistance.
Empire has also offered us our first look at the ship with an exclusive reveal:

Empire also reveals further information from Last Jedi director Rian Johnson; namely that the additional equipment fixed to the rear of the X-Wing is a temporary accelerator pod; in a pinch, this can provide a temporary burst of speed to evade enemy ships, although it will burn out if used for too long.
The Last Jedi: Rey and Luke Feature on New Covers
For excited fans of the Star Wars franchise, The Last Jedi's December release date may seem like an age away. While we can only wait for the full movie, a couple of magazine covers are doing their best to fill the gap.
The two covers are both from Empire's October issue and have been shared by Empire Online.
Top 10 Batman: The Animated Series Episodes
There’s no doubt that Batman: The Animated Series is the greatest superhero cartoon of all time. For many of us, Batman: TAS holds the most hallowed incarnations of these great characters, from Kevin Conroy’s Batman to Mark Hamill’s Joker. It introduced many new ideas that would later be brought to the comics and other interpretations, not the least of which is the breakout character Harley Quinn, as well as launch an entire universe of animated stories set in the DC Universe.
Since this week marks the 25th anniversary of the show's debut, we’re celebrating our 10 favorite episodes of the innovative series. But it’s worth noting that we’ve excluded episodes that were adapted from specific comics. Great segments like “Mad Love,” “Legends of the Dark Knight,” and “The Laughing Fish” are all undeniably fantastic, but we thought it better to point out episodes that were wholly created for the show. So with that said, here are our picks for the top 10 Batman: The Animated Series episodes ever...
Square-Enix Avengers Game Will Feature 3rd Person Action
Crystal Dynamics' upcoming Avengers game will feature "social", "shared" online play, and will - at least in combat sections - resemble a "3rd person cover based action adventure game".
Back in January, Marvel announced that it was entering into a multi-year, multi-game partnership with Square Enix - the first product of which was announced as an upcoming Avengers game; very few details were announced at the time and the game has remained quietly in development ever since, but now it seems that we might have our first idea of the direction in which the game is headed.
Thanks to NeoGAF user Nirolak, we have a couple of job postings from Square-Enix subsidiary Crystal Dynamics for the upcoming game, which is currently referred to as "The Avengers Project".
