IT: Chapter Two – Everything We Know
Stephen King's IT just hit theaters, and already the Andres (Andy) Muschietti film is on track to become one of the most critically and commercially successful Stephen King adaptations ever. A sequel is basically guaranteed at this point. And fortunately, a sequel was always part of the plan.

Netflix: No Regrets on Spending $6 Billion on New Content
Netflix doesn't regret investing billions of dollars into new content, according to company CFO David Wells.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, Wells told Wall Street on Tuesday the roughly $6 billion Netflix will spend this year on content, along with the $4.8 billion it has racked up in debt already, is well worth the cost.
Wells believes the money spent on new and original content—shows like Stranger Things and House of Cards—has helped Netflix get to an estimated 104 million subscribers worldwide.
However, Wells also noted that Netflix may soon be more constrained in its budget. "We might be to the point where we might start seeing more budget constraint," he said. "That has some benefits in terms of helping drive discipline on the content line."
Star Wars: We’re Divided on the Return of J.J. Abrams
J.J. Abrams, who of course reignited the big screen Star Wars franchise in 2015 with The Force Awakens, has now been confirmed to be returning to the series as the director and co-writer of Star Wars: Episode IX. He'll be replacing the recently departed Colin Trevorrow (Jurassic World).
While Abrams represents a tried and true helmer who should bring a stabilizing presence to the final installment in the new trilogy (the second film in that arc, The Last Jedi, will be released this December and was directed by Rian Johnson), not everyone sees the filmmaker as the magic bullet who will solve all of Star Wars problems. Meanwhile others don't see Star Wars as having too many problems at all! With that in mind, I got together with IGN's Jim Vejvoda and Joshua Yehl to break down the two sides of the argument below. Bungie Removing Destiny 2 Gauntlet With Offensive Symbol
Bungie is working to remove a Legendary piece of armor from Destiny 2 that features what looks like a well known white supremacist symbol.
As reported by Waypoint, the armor piece, known as the Road Complex AA1 gauntlets, has what resembles the "KEK" logo featured on the Kekistan flag, which serves as a symbol of white supremacy. For comparison, check out the symbol on the gauntlet below, and the strikingly similar logo featured on the aforementioned flag here.

NVC PAX Panel: Let’s Rank the Best Nintendo Games of All Time
Earlier this month, the Nintendo Voice Chat crew was on location at PAX West in Seattle Washington to invite fans to once again participate in a game of "Let's Rank" -- the painstaking process of assembling a Top 10 list live, with the help of the audience. As always, the idea was to expose the meticulous and highly scientific process of getting to consensus on something so personal that there simply cannot be any agreement.
In other words, we yelled at each other. Even if the final list is one few would 100% agree with, we all had a lot of fun arguing over it -- and judging from the smiles on the faces of our fans at the event -- they did, too. Even if things got heated (thanks, Brian).
All the News from Today’s iPhone X and iPhone 8 Event
Apple had a number of major announcements during its September 12 event, including reveals of iPhone X and iPhone 8, a new cellular-equipped Apple Watch, and much more.

Unquestionably, the star of the event was the iPhone X, Apple's most advanced iPhone, featuring an edge-to-edge Super Retina 5.8" display with 458 ppm (2426x1125) resolution that uses OLED technology and features HDR support. In addition to sporting glass surfaces on both the front and back, iPhone X doesn't have a home button. Instead users can swipe up from the bottom to access the home screen.
AirPower Mat Announced
Apple will release a wireless charging station next year called the AirPower mat.
The charging pad will support iPhone 8, iPhone X, Apple Watch Series 3 and AirPods. The AirPower mat will work with up to three of these devices at a time by placing them on the surface.
Apple revealed the AirPower mat today, which can charge three devices at the same time. It's set to release next year.
New Star Wars: Episode IX Release Date Announced
Star Wars: Episode IX will now be released on December 20, 2019, Lucasfilm announced today.
Lucasfilm previously dated Episode IX for a May 24, 2019 release date earlier this year.
The altered release date comes on the same day Lucasfilm confirmed that J.J. Abrams will now take over directorial duties on the upcoming Star Wars film, following in his work as director on Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Abrams will co-write Episode IX alongside Chris Terrio.
Marvel’s The Punisher: New Photos Released
Netflix has released a new set of photos for Marvel's The Punisher series and they provide a different look at Frank Castle and his supporting cast.
Among the new images is one featuring Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) in a military outfit while another has him teaming up with Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), who has previously been confirmed for the series. Check out an image gallery of the new photos below.
Netflix also released a new poster featuring The Punisher's/Frank Castle's iconic skull logo.
Marvel's The Punisher will reportedly premiere in November. IGN had a chance to see footage of the show during San Diego Comic-Con 2017.
