Nightwing Prepares for a New Direction in DC Rebirth
Big changes are coming for Nightwing in late 2018. DC has revealed (via CBR) the new creative team that will be taking over the series as of December's Nightwing #35 - writer Sam Humphries (Green Lanterns) and artist Bernard Chang (Supergirl).
With this new creative team comes a new direction for the series. Humphries and Chang's first story arc, titled "The Untouchable," will center around a cold case murder from Dick's Gotham City days that returns to haunt him in Bludhaven. That case will enable the creators to explore Dick's past as Robin and his college years. “The new villain is a devious new creation by me and Bernard — a murderous cold case from Nightwing’s past," Humphries told CBR. "But to fully unravel the scope of this guy, and to dig deep into Nightwing as a character, we’re going to experience some of his early days as Robin, and also his time as Hudson University student, Dick Grayson. It’s all tied together — his history is part of what makes him so exciting.”

Junkrat and Ana are Coming to Heroes of the Storm
Heroes of the Storm is about to get another influx of Overwatch content, with Ana and Junkrat making their way into the game alongside a new battleground called Voskaya Foundry, which is based on Overwatch’s Volskaya Industries map.
Ana will unsurprisingly be a ranged support hero, while Junkrat will be a ranged assassin, but not much else has been revealed about them yet.
The Volskaya Foundry map has three lanes, each with a capture point (similar to ones in Overwatch) that provides the team that captures it with a giant pilotable mech robot called a Triglav Protector. Volskaya also has conveyor belt floors around its capture points that can push players around.

The Cowboy Bebop Director Is Making a Blade Runner Anime Short
Shinichiro Watanabe, director of anime classics such as Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo, is directing an animated short that is tied into the upcoming film Blade Runner 2049.
Originally spotted by Anime News Network, Watanabe's anime short is named Blade Runner Black Out 2022. The "2022" of the title is in reference to the year in which the story takes place. That puts the action of the film between the original Blade Runner, which takes place in 2019, and the upcoming sequel, which of course takes place in 2049. Watanabe's anime will revolve around a massive blackout taking place along the west coast of the United States.
A Dark Souls Bonfire is in Dishonored: Death of the Outsider
While playing Dishonored: Death of the Outsider for our review, I stumbled across a couple of cool Easter eggs, the more surprising of which was a Dark Souls-style bonfire.
It’s a subtle nod, but an undeniable one. The bonfire is one of the most recognizable things from Dark Souls, making it immediately recognizable here.
Game of Thrones to Film Multiple Season 8 Endings
In an attempt to combat leaks, HBO will shoot multiple endings for Game of Thrones' series finale.
"I know in Game of Thrones, the ending, they're going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really know what happens," said Casey Bloys, HBO's president of programming (via The Morning Call). "You have to do that on a long show. Because when you're shooting something, people know. So they're going to shoot multiple versions so that there's no real definitive answer until the end."
The move comes after the series suffered multiple leaks last season. Season 7's fourth episode, "Spoils of War," was leaked ahead of its debut by an HBO distribution partner, while hackers uploaded draft scripts for five episodes of the hit series' most-recent season before they aired.

Bungie on How Offensive Symbol Got Into Destiny 2
Bungie has offered an explanation for how an offensive logo managed to make its way into Destiny 2.
As detailed on Bungie's blog post, the symbol was first designed back in June 2015 as Bungie often references real-world art in its games. However, Bungie's vetting process did not catch its similarity to a meme that has been repurposed to be the offensive symbol it is today.
"The more contemporary, vile derivation that has been repurposed by hate groups was not surfaced through this process, and therefore, the armor was approved for ship," Bungie wrote.
Bungie has already outlined its plan to remove the symbol and has promised fans it is going over how it can "more deeply vet our game content to shield us, and our community, from inappropriate imagery."
Harley Quinn’s Maddening 25-Year History
This week marked a major Batman milestone, as it's been 25 years since Harley Quinn made her debut in Batman: The Animated Series. These days, Harley is arguably more popular than ever. DC Co-Publisher Jim Lee went so far as to label her "the fourth pillar in our publishing line," placing Harley on equal footing with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. Harley has seen some soaring highs and crushing lows over the past 25 years. She may be a troubling and even maddening character to follow at times, but the journey has always been well worth it.
