Xbox Approves Remake Of Classic “Duke” Controller
Xbox has officially approved a remake of the historically humongous original Xbox controller, The Duke.
Originally announced at E3 this year, the updated Duke is a partnership between third party accessories company Hyperkin and original Xbox designer, Seamus Blackley.
Blackley announced via Twitter that Xbox has approved the updated version of the divisive controller:
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Dev ‘Contemplating Action’ Over Fortnite Battle Royale Mode
Bluehole, the development studio behind PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, has said it is "concerned" by how similar Fortnite's recently announced Battle Royale mode is to its game, and is contemplating "further action".
In a press release, Bluehole vice president Chang Han Kim explained the connection between his company and Fortnite's developer, Epic, as well as his issue with the extremely similar mode:
“We’ve had an ongoing relationship with Epic Games throughout PUBG’s development as they are the creators of UE4, the engine we licensed for the game. After listening to the growing feedback from our community and reviewing the gameplay for ourselves, we are concerned that Fortnite may be replicating the experience for which PUBG is known.
Red Dead Redemption 2 Announcement Coming Next Week
Rockstar has announced that it will release something related to Red Dead Redemption 2 next Thursday, September 28 at 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm UK (or 1am AEST on September 29).
The developer made the typically cryptic announcement on Twitter, using the Red Dead colour scheme and font:
— Rockstar Games (@RockstarGames) September 22, 2017
What that reveal might be is another matter. We'd hazard a guess at a trailer that offers more idea of its story - it would be much the same approach as GTA V, which was announced first with a 'mood' trailer featuring its setting, and followed up with more specific plot material.
Secrets of Fallout: How an Abandoned Sequel Led to New Vegas
Have you ever wanted to actually sit down with one of the creators that made the game, and be able to just play and chat with them about everything that went into making the game? On our new show, Expert Mode, we move past the traditional interview format, and spend some time on the couch just chatting, playing, and learning.
The five episodes of the show will air first exclusively on Facebook’s new “Watch” platform, so be sure to follow IGN Expert Mode on Facebook if you want to see it before it airs in the weeks following on IGN, our apps and places like YouTube.
The stories vary depending on the guest and game, but in addition to learning about the game itself, we hear about things like how it was first pitched, if it had different design elements we never saw, and all of those inside stories you may always wonder about.
Nintendo “Dramatically Over Delivered” on Switch Supply
Despite widespread Switch shortages, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has said the company "dramatically over delivered" on the console's supply at launch.
Speaking to Mashable, Fils-Aime said that despite analyst predictions that the Switch would sell far less, Nintendo provided 2 million units at launch.
"We actually sold through almost 2.8 million units," he continues, "so we dramatically over delivered. And yet, demand outpaces supply."
Bethesda Wants to Make More Games For Switch
Bethesda is confident that its relationship with Nintendo will continue beyond the upcoming launches of Doom and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus for the Switch.
Speaking to Venturebeat, vice president of marketing and communications at Bethesda Pete Hines said there will be more of his company's games running on the console in the horizon.
"We’ve been in constant conversation with
," said Hines, "and not just about the two games we have now, but about our whole approach to the platform going forward – what we can do, best practices, what things are a good fit, what they’re excited about in what we’re doing. We’re obviously excited about these two games, but it’s not as if we’re going to just do these two games and that’s it. We want this to be the start of a relationship that we build with Nintendo and Nintendo fans."

Kingsman 2 Director on the ‘Stupidity’ of the Film’s Trailers
Matthew Vaughn, director of Kingsman: the Golden Circle, has spoken about his disappointment in the film's trailers, which included a major spoiler from the film.
If you haven't seen any Kingsman 2 trailers, the content of this article will be a spoiler. If you have seen the trailers, you know what I'm talking about, and probably agree with Matthew Vaughn.
Trailers revealed that Colin Firth's Harry Hart - who seemed to have died in the course of the first film - would return in the sequel.
Speaking to IGN, Vaughn was forthright about his feelings on that particular promotional choice: "Well, I’m not in charge of marketing. The thinking about that was stupidity, to be blunt.
