How Guardians of the Galaxy Impacted Flash Gordon Movie
Guardians of the Galaxy impacted Matthew Vaughn's long-gestating Flash Gordon remake, according to the Kingsman director.
In an interview with Collider Vaughn, who signed on for Flash Gordon back in 2015, said that while he's still working on the remake, it's become a bit more difficult to make it ever since the success of Guardians of the Galaxy.
"For me, the only problem with Flash Gordon is Guardians
kind of stole what I would have liked to have done with it," Vaughn said. "You’ve got Star Wars, you’ve got Guardians, so you’ve got to have your own space opera, but you have to find something that can survive among these two very, very great franchises."
Golf Story Nintendo Switch Release Date Announced
Golf Story is officially coming to the Nintendo Switch on September 28, developer Sidebar Games has confirmed to IGN.
After a release date appeared on the European eShop, Sidebar told IGN the golf adventure recently highlighted in the August Nindies Nintendo Showcase will come to the Nintendo platform later this week.
Players take on the role of, unsurprisingly, a golfer in Golf Story, solving most problems by hitting a golf ball both on and off the green. The golf adventure game features eight different environments. In addition to traditional golf, disc golf, mini golf, and more like drone flights and geocaching will be included in the adventures.
Video Game Voice Actor Strike Set to End
The Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) has announced the video game voice actor strike will come to an end.
After running for nearly a year, the strike against 11 video game companies has reached a tentative agreement, which will provide performers with a new bonus structure in the form of an additional payment.
The bonuses are based on sessions worked, starting with $75 for the first session and accruing to $2,100 after 10 sessions. The bonus must be paid on or before the game is released. This appears to be a different arrangement to the revenue-based payments some developers agreed to back in May.

Star Trek: Discovery Sets CBS All Access Record
The Sunday night premiere of Star Trek: Discovery generated a record number of sign-ups for CBS All Access, the network announced.
As reported by Deadline, CBS claims the single-day sign-up numbers for its subscription-based streaming service eclipsed the prior record high set by the 2017 Grammy Awards back in February.
The series premiere of Star Trek: Discovery, which received a special telecast on CBS, pulled in a fairly large audience. According to Entertainment Weekly, the broadcast of the premiere garnered 9.6 million viewers and a 1.9 rating from adults (ages 18 to 49). Factoring in a full week's worth of delayed viewing, the network expects that number to reach 15 million viewers and a 3.0 rating.

The website The Terminator Fans spoke with Schwarzenegger during a UK appearance and asked about the upcoming Terminator film.
“It's going to ignore Genisys,” he simply said, offering little plot detail other than that Robert Patrick will not be back as the T-1000, according to Schwarzenegger, who also says the film will not be actually called Terminator 6.
Did John Cena Wrestle His Last Match at No Mercy?
Warning: Spoilers for WWE's No Mercy PPV from Sunday, September 24th
At No Mercy, following his pinfall loss to Roman Reigns, 16-time world champ John Cena lingered in the ring for a while, in solemn reflection, acting as if it was his retirement match. He slowly gathered himself, consoled some children at ringside, and took that long walk up the aisle. Fans even chanted "Thank You Cena!" as the moment certainly felt like a farewell.
We know Cena's getting old, his body's worn out, certain factions in Hollywood are calling - was this his last match? Like Undertaker, did Cena go out in a match with Roman Reigns that was not advertised ahead of time as a career-ending final bout?
Attack on Titan 2 Coming to Nintendo Switch
Koei Tecmo's Attack on Titan 2 will have a western release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, and Xbox One, the company announced at Tokyo Game Show 2017.

The game will also offer new challenges for players to take on, newly improved omni-directional mobility gear to try on, and more advanced RPG elements.
Yooka-Laylee Switch Release Held Up By Engine Problems
Yooka-Laylee still doesn't have a release date for Nintendo Switch because of engine issues.
On Kickstarter, Playtonic touched on the team's problems bringing the action-adventure game to the hybrid system. While the developer promises it's "nearly there" with the Switch version of Yooka-Laylee, there are tech difficulties delaying a set timeframe for launch.
"... We've encountered some final technical hurdles and had been waiting for the arrival of Unity 5.6 in order to fix them," Playtonic said. "Although this has now been released, it has unfortunately introduced other issues which we are working with Unity to resolve before we can submit to Nintendo and lock in our release timeline."
