GTA Online Update Adds Battle Royale-Style Mode
Smuggler's Run, the latest update from Grand Theft Auto Online, rolled out today, bringing with it a new Adversary Mode called Motor Wars.
This new battle royale-style mode, which bears some striking similarities to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, blends "the adrenaline rush of Drop Zone with the claustrophobic tension of a match of Penned In," putting players in a "deadly scavenger hunt."
Motor Wars pits up to four teams against each other in a fight for survival on a striking map. Players will parachute into the battlefield, which features an array of weaponry—including guns, explosives and weaponized vehicles—that can be used to take down the opposing teams.
Smuggler's Run is the nineteenth update for GTA Online. In addition to Motor Wars, the update features an aircraft-based smuggling ring that's managed by "Nervous" Ron Jakowski and run by the player, who must gain and distribute illegal goods from their warehouse.
Blade and Soul Tournament Offers $340,000 Prize
The Blade & Soul North American Regional Championships have amassed a prize pool of over $340,000 USD.
The prize pool was raised by revenue from sales of a special in-game item, according to developer NCSoft. The tournament will be held at PAX West on September 3, with the finals starting around 6:30 p.m. PT/9:30 p.m. ET. The event will be streamed on Blade & Soul's Twitch channel.
Both the first and second place teams will go on to represent North America at the Blade & Soul World Championships, which begin on September 20. The 18-team tournament will feature competitors from 9 regions, which include North America and Europe for the first time.

The Force binds the galaxy together in Star Wars. The energy field is wielded by those who follow the light side and the dark side, as well as their own paths. It's studied and is the focus of more than one religion, but the Jedi Order is the Force-focused organization we know the best. The pull and use of the Force has been a central component in the Skywalker movies and even had a role to play in Rogue One. But there's more to learn about the Force once you leave the big screen.
If you want to study more about the mythology of the Force, the balance between light and dark, or the difference between the Living Force and the Cosmic Force, you should start by reading and watching these Star Wars stories.
