But for those of you that aren’t up on the latest “Charlandra” gossip (hey, I just made that up!), let’s take a look at the comic book history of this impressive Empress…

Nintendo Reveals Top Switch Japanese Software Downloads

Nintendo has listed the top 25 best-selling games digitally for Switch in Japan.

The download-only Snipperclips is No. 1, according to Nintendo. Minecraft and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe come in at the second and third positions, respectively. The rest of the top 5 includes Kamiko and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, in that order.

Other notable entries are Arms at No. 7, especially considering the game just launched last month, and Super Bomberman R at No. 12. We here at IGN have reached out to Nintendo of America for rankings in the United States and other territories.

A few of those games are also selling well at retailers too. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild sold over 1.3 million copies during its launch month in North America, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe had the best debut for any entry in the franchise.

Wrestling Wrap Up: How Much Longer Will John Cena Wrestle?

Happy Day After Steve Rogers' Birthday!

I figure y'all US-Ate too much and America-boomed too hard.

Were you out and about watching the sky blow up, or were you home alone in the dark eating crackers and watching SmackDown Live?

anigif_enhanced-16636-1404412497-26

You know, so you could see Cena come back, announce that both SmackDown and RAW are his personal punchbowls to pee in, and then spread some good old fashioned janky jingoism that stood sort of awkwardly and perpendicularly next to his awesome #WeAreAmerica message from last year...

Does the Spider-Sense Exist in the MCU?

We've seen Spider-Man do many amazing things since he became part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but one specific power of his has not been depicted in either Captain America: Civil War or Spider-Man: Homecoming: his Spider-sense.

In the comics and in past animated and live-action incarnations of the character, Peter Parker would get a tingling sensation at the base of his skull when a threat was detected in his immediate surroundings. This near-precognitive power kept the wall-crawler safe from being surprised or ambushed.

And yet in his two appearances so far in the MCU, Tom Holland's Spidey has yet to show any signs that he possesses this ability. Indeed, the Spider-sense certainly should've warned Peter in Spider-Man: Homecoming that his pal Ned was in his bedroom and thus help keep his secret identity from being revealed, but it didn't. (See the clip from that scene below.)

Square Enix Reveals New Game Antique Carnevale

Square Enix has announced a new game called Antique Carnevale.

While there's currently very little information about the project, an official website is live with a story outline and a trailer for one of the game's characters, Bernard. Check it out below:

Additional trailers for four more characters will release on July 7, July 10, July 12 and July 14, respectively.

The story description (translation via Gematsu) is strange and cryptic, but it appears to explore the difference between "dolls" and "people" and what separates "things" from "living things." The description goes on to discuss a labyrinth which traps explorers, and a boy visiting the labyrinth and understanding the desires of the dolls captured within it.

Sega Announces Total War Spin-Off Series

Sega has announced a Total War spin-off series called Total War Saga.

According to a post on the official Total War blog, this new line of spinoffs will focus on key historical flashpoint—such as civil wars, as opposed to entire eras—and will build on previous Total War games.

The spinoffs won't be shorter or smaller than mainline Total War titles and are said to be similar in scope and focus to the Total War: Shogun 2 expansion Fall of the Samurai.

"Total War Saga games will be the same mix of turn-based campaign strategy, real-time battle tactics, and hundreds if not thousands of hours of gameplay as a regular Total War game, but focused down on a distinct moment," said Jack Lusted, the director on the studio's first Total War Saga game.
