Amazon’s The Tick: Character Motion Posters Reveal

Based on Ben Edlund's comic book, Amazon's new series The Tick -- focused on the character previously featured in a beloved 1990s animated series and a live-action series back in 2001 -- is ready to roll with its first season on August 25th.

The pilot episode, which debuted last year and can be seen right now on Amazon, introduced us to Peter Serafinowicz's brash blue crusader, Griffin Newman's obsessed and undersized sidekick, Arthur, and a somewhat darker and more demented tone than previous incarnations of The Tick.

With The Tick's premiere just a month away, and its second episode screening at San Diego Comic-Con this week, IGN's got new character motion posters to share with you - both heroes and villains from the new live-action series! Along with The Tick and Arthur, you'll see Valorie Curry as Arthur's sister, Dot, Brendan Hines as Superian, and the vile Overkill (Scott Speiser), Ramses (Michael Cerveris), and Ms. Lint (Yara Martinez).

Apes: What (Probably) Happened to Jason Clarke’s Dawn Character

The modern Planet of the Apes movies have taken what has turned out to be a great approach regarding its human characters: Basically, you get new humans in each new installment which serve to further the story of Andy Serkis’ Caesar and his tribe. But that also means that different humans come and go, and the go part isn’t usually too pleasant for them in the post-apocalyptic Apes world. In the first film it was James Franco’s Will Rodman. In War it’s Woody Harrelson’s Colonel, and in Dawn the main human character was Jason Clarke’s Malcolm. But interestingly, Malcolm’s fate has been up for debate… until now.

Spoilers for War for the Planet of the Apes follow.
