5 Teases for Fear the Walking Dead: Season 3

With the arrival of summer comes the return of Fear the Walking Dead, the sister series to AMC's The Walking Dead. With a story that straddles the border between the United States and Mexico, Fear couldn't be any more relevant in 2017 America -- and the show realizes it.

IGN joined a small group of reporters in venturing to Mexico's Baja California to visit the set of Fear the Walking Dead. While the cast and showrunner Dave Erickson were tight-lipped when it came to revealing too many spoilers, as is customary when dealing with the universe of The Walking Dead, they were very open about what fans should expect in the new season.

The importance of the ranch the group will be moving onto cannot be overstated enough. Visiting the actual set of the ranch -- built in a Baja valley -- feels like you've stepped into the actual apocalypse. With a giant ranch house at the front that looks over what is essentially a tent city, it's immediately clear that AMC has spared no expense when it comes to the enormity of this particular set.

Why the World Needs a Wonder Woman

In the worst of times, just as in the best of times, we look to heroes to guide us. Sometimes they stand before us a symbol of hope, or simply a reminder that things aren't as bad as we perceive them to be. Other times, they have the ability to pull us out of the depths of despair with just a kind word of encouragement. A hero can even take you back to a simpler, more optimistic time; a time devoid of shades of grey and moral complexity. A time when good could decisively triumph over evil. Today, more than ever, we need a hero that can raise our spirits and remind us that love and compassion are all humanity needs in order to find peace. That hero is Wonder Woman.

Something to consider when thinking of many comics heroes is how they were created to empower the most vulnerable and powerless among us: children. Each of us who gravitated towards superheroes as a child did so, whether we realized it or not, because they had the power to make things better. They didn't need permission, and they weren't at the mercy of anyone else. They were powerful, fearless, and courageous in the face of unspeakable evil.

How Marvel Comics Solves the Problem of Adapting a Choose-Your-Own-Path Video Game

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series has its first episode out and a new Marvel comic book series along with it. The problem with adapting a choose-your-own-path video game into a comic book is that it can't cover every possibility and must decide on one thread to follow (unless it's a choose-your-own-path comic of course, which this one is not).

Injustice: Ground Zero over at DC Comics is a comic book adaption of the Injustice: Gods Among Us game, and there they chose Harley Quinn to be the point-of-view character. That way, the reader can see the events of the game play out through her eyes and as she helps Batman take down a tyrannical, grief-stricken Superman. With this comic solidifying Injustice canon it did, however, wind up ruling out some characters' plot threads presented in the game's story mode. But given that the game came out in 2013 and gamers are already diving into Injustice 2, it's probably okay that the folks at DC and NetherRealm decided to use this comic to say "this is how it really happened."
