7 Things Apple Announced at WWDC 2017

Apple finally unveiled its Amazon Echo and Google Home competitor at WWDC 2017, along with new iPad and iMacs. Beyond those major hardware reveals, the company also detailed iOS 11, WatchOS 4 and Amazon Prime coming to Apple TV.

Other recent Apple upgrades came in the form of changes to the company's iPad line and a Red iPhone 7 earlier this year, as well as the introduction of a new indie games App Store section to celebrate some of the new and previously released games in the iOS library.

Monument Valley 2 Announced, Available Now

Monument Valley 2 has been announced and you can download it right now via the iOS App Store for $4.99.

Developer Ustwo Games confirmed the sequel's existence on Twitter during Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference today. Check out the announcement trailer below.

Monument Valley 2 works on both iPhone and iPad. There's no word yet on if the game will eventually make its way to Android users.

The sequel sports a striking art style and puzzle-based gameplay similar to the original. The biggest difference with Monument Valley 2 is that, instead of controlling a single character, players now have to guide both a mother and child through various geometric landscapes.

Wonder Woman’s Box Office Debut Compared to Other Superhero Origin Films

Wonder Woman debuted to an estimated $100 million at the domestic box office this weekend, becoming one of the best-performing superhero origin debuts ever, as well as the highest-grossing opening for a female-directed film.

For more on that success, IGN has taken a look at how the Gal Gadot-starring DC Extended Universe movie from director Patty Jenkins stacks up against other superhero origin films. Check out the chart below for a ranked list of the top 10 biggest openings for solo superhero films. Note — that means no team-focused films (Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy, X-Men, The Avengers, etc.) and no sequels are considered in the ranking.

Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 Officially Announced

After being previously outed by a rating in Korea, Capcom has officially announced Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The collection will be released on August 8 in North America and will cost $19.99 both digitally and at retail. The collection includes Mega Man 7-10, a Challenge Mode with new stage remixes, online leaderboards, and a music player that lets players listen to tracks from each game.

When asked about potential for Nintendo Switch or 3DS versions, a representative for Capcom told IGN "there are no plans" for versions on Nintendo platforms "at this time."

5 Things We Might See In Tomorrow’s Pokemon Direct

The internet is in full speculation mode after Nintendo announced a special 8-minute Pokemon Direct, and we're no different. Pokemon Stars is a huge contender, but there could be even more on the horizon for the Pokemon franchise.

Catch the Pokemon Direct Tuesday June 6 at 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern / 3pm UK / June 8 at 12am AEST, but in the meantime, here's what we're most expecting to see.

We learned about the third version of Pokemon Sun and Moon, codenamed Pokemon Stars, back in November 2016.  Reportedly coming to the Nintendo Switch, Pokemon Stars was originally planned for a summer 2017 release, and has received increasing speculation over the last year. Game Freak was recruiting for a console game, after all.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite: Road to E3 2017

It's that time of year again: E3 2017 is just on the horizon. From June 10-15, we'll be covering the biggest games and hardware announcements of 2017 and beyond. While you can check out our continually-updated Games of E3 List, we're now going to start diving deeper.

FIFA 18 Revealed with Cristiano Ronaldo as Cover Star

FIFA 18 will launch on September 29, and EA has also announced that Cristiano Ronaldo will be the game's cover star for the first time.

The game will be released on Xbox One, PS4, PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Switch. In the trailer below, we see Ronaldo taking on the entire Chelsea team before scoring a free kick. Sounds about right.

There will be three different editions of FIFA 18. The standard edition comes with a Cristiano Ronaldo loan card for Ultimate Team, £10 / $15 worth of Jumbo Premium Gold Ultimate Team Packs, as well as eight special edition kits.

The Ronaldo edition has £40 / $60 worth of packs, and you get the game three days early on top of what you get in the standard edition.
