Preacher: Season 2 Will More Closely Resemble the Comic

This past spring, I visited New Orleans to pay a visit to the set of Preacher: Season 2. And what a set it was, as the show was filming at a huge and opulent mansion that day. I have to be vague about what exactly was occurring, but it did involve Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper) once more using his “word of God” abilities to make others do his bidding – and Tulip (Ruth Negga) responding with her trademark deadpan “Really, Jesse?” vibe, in another fun and funny sequence. But as another scene I watched cast members film later in the day proved, things would get much more dramatic and intense during Jesse, Tulip and Cassidy’s stay at this place.

I spoke to Preacher’s central trio about what’s to come in Season 2, as the show more closely resembles the comic book source material than it did in its first year, the characters travel to New Orleans, and new foes surface.

Bungie Begins Winding Down Live Events in Destiny 1

In its latest announcement, Bungie has announced that some of Destiny's live competitive events will soon no longer be available.

Both the Iron Banner and Trials of Osiris PvP events are appearing for the final time on August 1 and 11 respectively, before being reworked for Destiny 2. While Bungie doesn't reveal what forms they will take in the upcoming sequel, it does promise that they will definitely reappear in "unexpected ways".

While these changes won't affect other weekly activities, the update does include a list of tasks that players may want to accomplish before August 1 in order to unlock emblems in Destiny 2.

IGN’s Exclusive Pokemon TCG Card Reveal

The Pokemon Trading Card Game will release its latest expansion, Sun & Moon - Burning Shadows on August 4, and we have two brand new cards from the set to exclusively show off: Golisopod GX and the Guzma trainer card.

Both cards work rather nicely together, with the Team Skull boss' trainer effect synergising nicely with the souped-up Wimpod evolution. Without further ado, here they are:

Golisopod GX

Golisopod GX fares best by bouncing off and onto your Bench, dealing big chunks of damage in the process, making him potentially hugely helpful for card combos. That's where Guzma comes in:

Overwatch and Hearthstone to Reduce Duplicate Loot Items

In separate videos, Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan, and Hearthstone game director Ben Brode have revealed changes that both development teams are making to improve their respective in-game loot reward systems.

"We are going to make significant improvements to the loot box experience," Kaplan explains, stating that the team is going to "drastically reduce the rate of duplicates that you'll get out of any loot box."

The game director also addresses the potential issue this could cause: duplicates are a major source of in-game currency, used to buy specific loot items. To compensate for this, Overwatch players will earn an increased amount of credits out of loot boxes, which Kaplan has promised will mean that "...credits will be the same if not more without duplicates."

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Sells 4 Million Copies

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was released into Early Access 3 months ago today - and it just hit 4 million copies sold.

Announced by PlayerUnknown himself, Brendan Green, the battle royale game continues to gain players, well before its finished version:

At the beginning of May, Battlegrounds hit the 2 million copies mark, meaning its rate of sales has stayed almost as fast since then - something only likely to be helped by the fact that the game will arrive on Xbox One later this year.
