Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga May Be Coming to 3DS
The 2003 Game Boy Advance RPG Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga could be coming to Nintendo 3DS, as new evidence has surfaced to suggest a DX version is on the way.
As reported by Kotaku, dataminer SciresM claimed to have discovered information regarding Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga DX in a 3DS database last week, and has since dug up an icon of the alleged game, which he posted on Twitter:
Hey! Pikmin Feels Like a Kids Game And That’s OK
Hey! Pikmin’s simple stylus-driven action might be a turnoff for hardcore Pikmin fans. We played this 2D side-scroller at an event in New York and it feels aimed at getting a younger audience in touch with the series. This is not a bad thing per se: The Pikmin games have always featured adorable characters, but the real-time strategy was difficult for some. On the other hand, the simple controls of this 3DS installment make Pikmin approachable and capture the spirit of being a voyager on a hostile alien planet similar to Nintendo’s big brother Pikmin games.
The three stages I played are as simple as you would expect a touch-focused 3DS game to be. You hold the system with one hand and tap on the bottom touch screen with the other. You can control Olimar with the analog slider (or the face buttons, if you're a lefty) execute light commands and use your Pikmin companions to solve relatively easy puzzles. They can build bridges, destroy barriers, and help Olimar fight his way through alien-infested stages. Olimar himself can run or swim through stages to explore, and he can use a jetpack to reach higher platforms, too.
Last Jedi Director Asked for a Change to Episode 7’s Ending
Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson asked J.J. Abrams for a slight change to The Force Awakens' ending.
Warning: Spoilers for The Force Awakens follow...
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Johnson revealed he wanted R2-D2 to accompany Rey on her journey to find Luke Skywalker rather than BB-8. Abrams originally planned on having the younger droid travel with Rey and Chewbacca instead, but ultimately made the switch due to Johnson's request.
“Originally it was BB-8 who went with Rey, which makes sense for the story in a way," Johnson revealed. "But I asked, ‘Can you do me this solid and switch the droids?’” Johnson requested the change because he wanted two original trilogy mainstays to be the center of the story in The Last Jedi, and for R2-D2 to finally be reunited with Luke.

17 Comics to Check Out on FCBD 2017
The first weekend of May means two things - there's a new Marvel movie in theaters (in this case, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) and another Free Comic Book Day has arrived. If you enjoy reading comic books and not having to pay for things, it's pretty much a perfect storm of awesome.
As usual, publishers are going all-out to celebrate this year's FCBD. We've broken down the 17 books you should be on the lookout for this year, from Marvel's Secret Empire tie-in to a new Avatar adventure from Dark Horse. Check them out below:
As usual, the only way to snag these free books will be to head down to your local comic shop on Saturday, May 6. Bear in mind that while these comics are free for consumers, store owners still have to pay to order them, so consider throwing your LCS a bone and make a few actual purchases while you're there. Most shops will be running special sales and other promotions to take advantage of the festivities.

Dota 2 International 2017 Battle Pass Announced
Just as the post-Kiev Major excitement was finally dying down Valve has announced the details of The International 2017 Battle Pass for Dota 2.
For the uninitiated, a Battle Pass is a digital ticket for Dota's biggest tournaments that comes with a suite of extra features, including special cosmetics, in-game events, tournament predictions, and much, much more. The Battle Pass announced today gives access to Dota's biggest tournament of the year, The International, and Valve has gone all out to ensure this year's new features are fitting for its most prestigious event.
The first and most interesting new addition in this year's Battle Pass is Siltbreaker, a Dota multiplayer campaign. The campaign looks to tackle Dota's lore head on, featuring an in-depth story about the Dark Reef, an underwater prison that houses the sea's most evil creatures. Siltbreaker appears to be a Diablo-esque dungeon crawler built within Dota's framework and is playable with up to two friends. Campaign XP will be rewarded each time you play which can then be turned in for special rewards. The first act of Siltbreaker (titled "The Sands of Fate) will be available sometime this month, with the second act set for release in July.
Oculus Shuts Down VR Story Studio
Oculus is shutting down its award-winning narrative filmmaking branch, Story Studio.
Oculus VP of Content Jason Rubin revealed the news in a recent blog post, saying the company has decided to move away from internal content creation and will now instead focus on supporting more external production. All ongoing projects at Story Studio are being cancelled, with the branch's 50 staffers encouraged to apply for new jobs within Oculus.
"Now that a large community of filmmakers and developers are committed to the narrative VR art form, we’re going to focus on funding and supporting their content," said Rubin. "This helps us turn our internal research, development, and attention towards exciting but unsolved problems in AR and VR hardware and software."
