James Gunn Acknowledges Small Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. Continuity Error
Marvel director James Gunn has admitted to fans that he made a minor error during one of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s post-credits scenes. Gunn good-humouredly conceded the oversight during a Facebook Live session he conducted with fans of his film yesterday.
The scene in question, if you’re still here and/or aren’t concerned about spoilers from the film, is Stan Lee’s cameo at the end of the movie.
“I actually read the Marvel fan sites and the Marvel message boards out there and a lot of times people have ideas that are somewhat off-base or silly or whatever,” said Gunn. “But one thing I found very funny and interesting is the fact that people thought Stan Lee is a Watcher… and that all of these cameos that he’s doing are part of him being a Watcher. So I thought that was one of the greatest things the fans came up with.”

ZeniMax Files Lawsuit Against Samsung for Gear VR
Bethesda parent company ZeniMax has filed a lawsuit against Samsung for its Gear VR headset.
According to the legal documents filed by ZeniMax, Samsung's headset is based on ZeniMax's intellectual property shared by id Software co-founder John Carmack in breach of an NDA. The lawsuit alleges that Samsung "has used, and continues to utilize, ZeniMax’s VR technology (or derivatives thereof) that was misappropriated by Oculus (now owned by Facebook) in its Samsung Gear VR which continues to be “powered by Oculus.”"
ZeniMax is seeking damages, injunctive relief, court costs and "all other relief to which ZeniMax is entitled" as compensation. "Without this relief, Samsung will continue to profit unjustly at ZeniMax’s expense."
Zac Efron to Play Serial Killer Ted Bundy
Zac Efron will play Ted Bundy in the upcoming thriller Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
THR reports that Efron will star as the notorious serial killer in the film, which will be told from the perspective of Bundy's longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer. Kloepfer helped convict Bundy after being suspicious of him for many years.
Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile will be directed by Joe Berlinger (Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory) and written by Michael Werwie, who earned the Nicholl Fellowship first prize for his script.
Efron has focused on comedy in the last several years, so the role will be a significant change in pace for the actor. He will next be seen alongside Dwayne Johnson in Paramount's comedy Baywatch.

Phantom Dust Free on Xbox One and Windows 10 Tomorrow
The re-release of card battle RPG arena fighter, Phantom Dust, will launch tomorrow for free on Xbox One and Windows 10.

Johnson on Future of G.I. Joe Movie Franchise
Dwayne Johnson has a few thoughts on where the G.I. Joe movie franchise should head next.
In an interview with CinemaBlend, Johnson revealed he has talked with Paramount about the series' future and that he believes the studio should create a shared cinematic universe with other Hasbro properties, including Transformers and M.A.S.K.
"Now, we've made two G.I. Joes," said Johnson. "What they can do is phenomenal, right? When you think about M.A.S.K., and you think about G.I. Joe, and you think about the world that they can build out."
However, Johnson isn't ready to fully commit to reprising his role as Roadblock, who first appeared in the second G.I. Joe movie, 2013's Retaliation. "I loved working in that movie and the franchise, and if I didn't do it again, I'm great with them, and I wish them the best of luck," said Johnson. "But I do hope they build it out really nicely, and I think they can."
The Purge TV Show to Explore Life on Non-Purge Nights
The upcoming Purge TV series will focus on what life is like on non-purge nights.
Series creator James DeMonaco revealed, during NBC's upfront presentation (via Entertainment Weekly), that the series will show how this purge law affects America during the other "normal" 364 days of the year. DeMonaco believes this idea can't be properly pulled off in a 95-minute Purge movie.
"What’s great about Purge TV is that the ten hours they’ll be giving us, it allows us to explore character, why someone on this night would do something so heinous as pick up a gun or a knife and do something," said DeMonaco .
