If DC Must, Doomsday Clock Is the Right Way to Continue Publishing Watchmen Comics

With the reveal of DC Comics’ Doomsday Clock comic, we now know that Geoff Johns’ ongoing Watchmen-join-the-DCU story will lead to a showdown between Doctor Manhattan and Superman. While that’s an exciting confrontation to nerdebate, the best part of this news was writer Johns explaining how this will be a standalone story with no crossovers or any of that other nonsense, not unlike the original Watchmen.

Destiny 2 PC Version Release Date May Be Later Than Console

The newly-announced PC version of Destiny 2 has no confirmed release date, and may arrive after the PS4 and Xbox One versions have launched on September 8.

The game's FAQ page on Battle.net is a little hazy on a release date, reading: "Bungie is actively working through the global details. We look forward to sharing additional information later this year."

When asked by PC Gamer to clarify a date, game director Luke Smith said: “We haven’t committed to a PC date yet. At Bungie, we are totally committed to making the PC build as great as we can

‘No Plans’ for Destiny 2 on Nintendo Switch

Destiny may have made the jump to PC, but it's unlikely to complete the platform quartet with a Nintendo Switch version.

Speaking to IGN at Destiny 2's gameplay reveal event, project lead Mark Noseworthy initially said that Bungie has "no announcements to make about the Switch at this time".

When asked if that meant the franchise could embrace Switch in some way in the future, Noseworthy added:

"I think it's pretty unrealistic, given we're an online-only game, right? The Switch, because it's a portable - and I love my Switch, I've got Breath of the Wild here, I've got it with me. It's incredible, I love the console, but in terms of where it's at, I don't want leave anyone with the possibility of, like, 'it's a thing we'll consider, maybe next year.' There's no plans right now for Switch."

Batman, Superman, Harry Potter and others get Lego-ized

To coincide with the digital release of the Lego Batman film, some of the WB titles in the iTunes store are getting a lego makeover. Specifically, the Batman films, Gremlins and even The Wizard of Oz are having their traditional film artwork, swapped out for Lego versions.

We thought the Lego Batman movie was a lot of fun (and one of the best reviewed Batman films ever), so it was cool to see these other characters get the Lego treatment.

Valve Reveals Companion Cube Cosmetic For Dota 2 Hero

Valve has revealed a companion cube cosmetic for lo in Dota 2.

Dota 2 fans will likely remember last year's hotly contested Arcana vote, a fan poll that helps Valve decide which of the game's 113 playable heroes will be getting a new cosmetic that completely overhauls the character's design, including new animations, sounds, and skill icons. Last year's contest was the strangest yet, with the finalists being Juggernaut, one of the Dota 2's most played carries, and Io, an incredibly unpopular support hero. Most fans agree that Io only made it so far as a joke among the community, but in the end the votes were close with Juggernaut barely winning, taking 52% of the votes.
