X-23 Movie ‘More Likely To Be Its Own Film’

Full spoilers follow for Logan.

You loved Laura, a.k.a. X-23, in Logan, eh? After all, who didn’t adore the character played by Dafne Keen in the final Hugh Jackman Wolverine film?

Well, it sounds like we just might be getting more of Keen as the Logan clone in a future movie. Despite the seeming conclusive end of Logan, there have been increasing whispers from the filmmakers involved -- namely director James Mangold and producer Hutch Parker -- that Laura may yet return. During a recent Logan Noir Q&A, Mangold was asked about this very topic. He said, "Anything's possible. I've certainly talked to

8 New Talking Points About Star Wars: The Last Jedi

While a new magazine article confirmed many longstanding rumors about certain new characters and locations to be seen in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it also raised a few new questions and revved up our nerd theory engines.

Here are the eight biggest things we're most curious about after reading Vanity Fair's cover story and seeing Annie Leibovitz's portfolio of cool new photos, starting with ...

We learned at Star Wars Celebration that Kelly Marie Tran plays The Last Jedi's most pivotal new character, Rose, a maintenance worker in the Resistance who teams up with John Boyega's Finn. Now the Vanity Fair article reveals Rose's last name is "Tico" and that "her plotline involves a mission behind enemy lines with Boyega’s Finn." Furthermore, Rose has a sister named Paige, who, in footage observed by Vanity Fair, shares scenes with Oscar Isaac's Poe Dameron. Paige (played by Vietnamese actress Veronica Ngo) is said to be a gunner being coached by X-Wing pilot Poe.

New to Netflix for June

Netflix in June features the return of Orange is the New Black - which looks like it might be getting even darker now that Emmy rules prohibit it from getting a nomination as a "Comedy" now.

And speaking of Orange, that show's creator, Jenji Kohan, has executive produced a new Netflix series called GLOW - about the cult '80s women's wrestling series, starring Alison Brie and Ellen Wong. That's also on the slate for June.

You'll also get to see, thanks to that CW/Netflix deal, new seasons of Arrow and The 100 (and presumedly The Flash too) as they'll arrive shortly after the season finale dust settles. There's also Zodiac, Full Metal Jacket, My Left Foot, The Sixth Sense, and Netflix Originals like The Ranch and Flaked.

Leaving Netflix in June

The time for Dads and Grads is almost here and if you're looking to spend your first weeks of summer break binging up a storm on Netflix, then you should probably take a look at what's leaving the streaming site in June.

The Blair Witch Project, This is Spinal Tap!, and Honey, I Shrunk the Kids are all on their way out while all 8 seasons of CSI: NY are vanishing as well.

Bruce Lee's The Way of the Dragon is also on borrowed time, along with Daddy's Home, Serendipity, The Hustler, and the Three Musketeers.

Kingdom Hearts Designer Offers His Take on the Joker

Kingdom Hearts director and longtime Final Fantasy character designer Tetusya Nomura has offered his take on the Joker with a new figure.

Like Nomura's interpretations of Batman and Catwoman, his Joker redesign is striking, eccentric, and certainly a unique take on the DC villain. As part of Square Enix’s DC Universe Variant Play Arts Kai line, the figure will release sometime this fall. You can preorder the figure now on Amazon Japan.

While PlayStation 4 players won't have access to the trial period, they will be able to take advantage of this weekend's Fallout 4 sale, which sees the base game discounted by 67 percent on all platforms. The season pass will also be on sale throughout the weekend.

Wrestling Wrap Up: The Case for New Champ Jinder Mahal

For the most part, I'm not against Jinder Mahal becoming WWE Champ. For the most part. Mostly. Mowestlee.

Oh, but everyone's got such strong opinions on the matter. So many opinions. Look at all the hot takes! Everyone, come see how hot I take. So let's dig into the nitty and the gritty here and try to see every side of the equation. You know, so we can gain some perspective. But not too much perspective.

Backlash almost gave its big main event finish away -- and you can read all my mind thoughts about the PPV here -- in the sense that nothing big was happening at all on the undercard. Not only were there no title changes, but nothing of note, nothing that popped, was occurring either. Nothing particularly memorable. And while Jinder Mahal stood a small chance of shocking the world with an upset win against Orton heading into the show, the fact that it was either him winning or the entire show would be instantly forgettable made his victory almost certain.

1,000 Game Developers You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

The best games are trash. That’s what Steve Cook, the man behind an ongoing effort to compile 1,000 video game makers into a single Twitter thread, believes.

Video games are a multi-billion dollar industry, but the medium’s reach goes beyond the mechanical workings of gaming as a business. Before popular military shooters were launching massive annual sequels and big-budget franchises were getting even bigger-budget movie adaptations, video games were small, new, weird digital treasures shared on internet bulletin boards and floppy disks. Video games used to be “punk” — and, if you know where to look, they still are.
