Finn Needs to Choose His Path in The Last Jedi

During the panel for Star Wars: The Last Jedi at Star Wars Celebration today, John Boyega discussed the evolution of Finn in the highly anticipated movie.

When last we saw Finn, he'd been badly injured by Kylo Ren, and Boyega said as the new movie begins, "It's been painful. It's been a process." He said he felt, Finn definitely stood up for himself," but the injury is something he had to deal with and "He's in recovery, but he will be back in The Last Jedi."

Oscar Isaac couldn't make it to Celebration, but Boyega said that when it came to the popular friendship (and some fans wonder perhaps even more eventually?) between Finn and Poe, Boyega said there'd "absolutely" be more for them, proclaiming, "There's my boy!" when a photo of Isaac as Poe was shown, and adding, "There's always a new adventure for us to go on."

Kelly Marie Tran will play Rose, a Resistance maintenance worker in the "biggest new part" in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Revealed during the panel for the upcoming movie, we didn't learn much about the character, other than that she will join with the core heroes from The Force Awakens.

We did, however, get a first image:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi: Luke Isn’t What Rey Expects

Daisy Ridley shared very, very few details about Star Wars: The Last Jedi during the film's Star Wars Celebration panel, but it should be enough to get fans excited about the 2017 movie.

Ridley promised that the Rian Johnson movie will go "deeper into Rey's story," but also hinted that what comes after the end of The Force Awakens won't be exactly what her character expects.

The IGN UK Podcast Meets Overwatch’s Jeff Kaplan

Hey, remember how lots of our listeners told us we talk about Overwatch too much? Well, we invited the Overwatch game director, Jeff Kaplan onto the podcast, and talked about Overwatch so much. Never question us, we're just incorrigible.

The living meme, very nice man and game genius talked to us about his best and worst heroes, what it feels like to see Hanzo as part of the presidential campaign, and how he wants to stop Overwatch players being so mean.

He also took some time to pass judgement on our very own Overwatch play in this rather nice video...

That's topped off with a quick chat about Thor: Ragnarok, upcoming PS VR games, your feedback and, of course, Keyword Countdown.

MST3K: The Return is Fun for Old Fans and New Viewers

Since only two episodes of Netflix's Mystery Science Theater: The Return were made available to the press ahead of time, we don't have a full season review yet. Over the next few days, I'll absorb the remaining 12 new installments and then hit y'all up with a Season 11 review next weekend. For now though, here's my first impression of the rebooted cult classic based on the two episodes I've seen - "Reptilicus" and "Cry Wilderness."

In the not too distant future -- AKA "now" -- comedian Jonah Ray has taken over hosting duties for an all new batch of Mystery Science Theater 3000 episodes - a Kickstarter funded resurrection/reboot/sequel that brings back the original ground zero snark-a-long series for the Netflix generation.
