Ghost Recon Wildlands Season Pass Detailed
Ghost Recon Wildlands will get two major paid expansions after launch as part of the game's $40 season pass, Ubisoft announced today.
The first expansion, titled Narco Road, will task players with infiltrating a gang of smugglers to "take part in crazy races and challenges to earn their infamous leader's trust and destroy them from the inside." The expansion will introduce new bosses and vehicles.
In Fallen Ghosts, players must evade an elite group of mercenaries that are tracking them after the players' chopper is shot down. The expansion includes a "powerful new enemy," new skills, and unlockable weapons. Season pass holders will get access to both expansions a week early.
Pokemon Go Trading Will Be Limited to Nearby Players
Niantic Labs is currently at work on adding trading to Pokemon Go, but when the feature does eventually arrive, you'll only be able to exchange creatures with other players in your general proximity.
This week at GDC, senior product manager Tatsuo Nomura confirmed to Polygon that trading "won’t be through the internet." Instead, "the person needs to be in your proximity." Nomura explained why this will be the case, saying, "you shouldn’t be able to exchange your Pokemon with someone who is 100 miles away from you."
While trading is expected to come to Pokemon Go sometime later this year, Niantic is still exploring how best to implement the feature. "We're still trying to come up with an answer

Stranger Things’ David Harbour to Play Cable in Deadpool 2?
A Stranger Things star might be up to play Cable in Deadpool 2.
The Wrap reports David Harbour, who plays Chief Jim Hopper on the popular Netflix series, has been screen-tested by Fox for the role.
Several actors have been rumored to play the time traveling mutant and son of Cyclops. Most recently, Cable and Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld championed Russell Crowe to play Cable on Twitter a few days ago. Crowe retweeted a piece of fan art depicting him as the character to Liefeld, saying, "Hmmm... @robertliefeld thoughts?"
Person of Interest’s Amy Acker Joins X-Men TV Series
Person of Interest actress Amy Acker will star in the untitled X-Men TV show.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Acker will play Kate Stewart, who's separated from her husband Reed. True Blood veteran Stephen Moyer is portraying her partner on the X-Men series.

Marvel’s Inhumans Casts Lost’s Ken Leung as Karnak
Marvel's Inhumans TV series has cast a Lost alum in a key role.
Marvel announced Thursday that Ken Leung, who played Miles Straume in Lost and had roles as Admiral Statura in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and the mutant Kid Omega in X-Men: The Last Stand, will portray the Inhuman Karnak.

Arrow: Are Vigilante and Prometheus Connected?

Arrow's latest episode answered the single biggest question surrounding Season 5: just who is underneath Prometheus' hood? It turns out that Adrian Chase, current Star City District Attorney and apparent ally to Team Arrow, is the person that's been so busy making Oliver Queen's life miserable these past few months. This reveal also suggests that the show is making a significant break from the comics, as Chase isn't the masked killer known as Vigilante.
Nintendo Switch Cartridges Taste Terrible
If you were thinking about eating Nintendo Switch cartridges, please don't.
Due to taste tests by multiple intrepid reporters, including Giant Bomb's Jeff Gertsmann and IGN's Alanah Pearce, Switch cartridges were discovered to have a lingering, bitter taste to them. And there's actually an official reason for it.
In a statement provided to IGN, a representative for Nintendo explained that the cartridges have been coated with a "bittering agent" to discourage owners from eating them.
"To avoid the possibility of accidental ingestion, keep the game card away from young children. A bittering agent (Denatonium Benzoate) has also been applied to the game card. This bittering agent is non-toxic," the statement reads.
Ghost Recon Wildlands Betas Had Over 6 Million Players
Ghost Recon Wildlands' closed and open betas had 6.8 million total players, breaking Ubisoft’s previous beta records, the studio has announced.
More than two billion minutes were played during the game's beta phases and more than 60 percent of all players played in co-op mode, according to Ubisoft.
Along with the announcement, Ubisoft also released an infographic showcasing some interesting stats from the closed and open betas. For example, 1.2 billion cartel members were eliminated, 2.8 million hours were spent in night vision, and 1.3 million hours were spent flying drones.
New Overwatch Character Orisa Revealed
Overwatch's latest character is a centaur-like tank class hero named Orisa. Blizzard hasn't said when she'll be available in the full game yet, but for now PC players can demo her on Overwatch's public test realm.
According to her official hero page, "Orisa serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates from the frontline with a protective barrier. She can attack from long range, fortify her own defenses, launch graviton charges to slow and move enemies, and deploy a Supercharger to boost the damage output of multiple allies at once."
Orisa's primary weapon is the Fusion Driver, an automatic projectile cannon. She can also launch a detonatable graviton charge, which slows the movement of nearby enemies and pulls them towards the explosion.
