Next No Man’s Sky Update Coming This Week
Hello Games has announced that the next content update for No Man's Sky will be released for free this week.
The Path Finder Update was announced on the developer's blog, and will introduce "a new vehicle that will aid home planet exploration."
More detailed patch notes will be released when the update goes live, but Hello Games makes clear that Path Finder is only the beginning of what it has planned for the future of the controversial game, saying that it builds "on the Foundation Update to hint at a path ahead for the future."
The hugely hyped game received a backlash upon release, with our reviewer saying that "the promise of limitless exploration ended up working against it when I lost faith that it had any more meaningful things to show me no matter how far I traveled."
Metal Gear Movie Director on Characters He Wants to Include
The director of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie, Jordan Vogt-Roberts has spoken about his plans for the film - including the characters he'd like to include.
"I mean, I'm a big Sniper Wolf fan," Vogt-Roberts told IGN whilst promoting his new film, Kong: Skull Island, "and when we were sitting down to think about the script at a certain point it was like, 'is Cyborg Ninja in this movie or not?' and the part of me that was a little kid was like, 'there's no world in which I'm ever going to make a Metal Gear movie that Cyborg Ninja is not going to be in.' It's really easy to be like, 'it's a good character to save for the second one,' but no, no, no."
Vogt-Roberts also explained that he's considering whether to include fourth wall-breaking sections, in the style of Psycho Mantis in Metal Gear Solid (who spoke directly to the player about other games they had played):

The Game That Requires Your Entire Keyboard to Play
Most games confine their inputs to just a few keys at a time — trusty old WASD (though some swear by ESDF), the reliable left shift, left control, Q, E, T, F, maybe a few number keys, and almost always the beloved spacebar. Throw some scattered hotkeys into the mix and even the arrow keys, and you’ve reached the extent of keyboard inputs for most PC games.
But Keyboard Sports isn’t most PC games. Keyboard Sports wants you to embrace the parts of the keyboard that don’t get much love — all those little nooks and corners between and around the Cool, Popular Keys. In Keyboard Sports, every key is important. And it’s a surprising amount of fun.
Through a series of silly minigames, Keyboard Sports slowly introduces you to the idea of using the entire keyboard as a controller. Each button press prompts your little character to scurry over to the corresponding area of the screen. A grid of a keyboard overlaid on the game space makes this easier to understand, but it’s still hard to get accustomed to at first. I felt strange wandering away from the home keys and the familiar comfort of WASD. Keyboard Sports forced me to unlearn my instinctual reliance on that side of the device, and once I did, it was liberating.
