Westworld Creators Are VERY Secretive About Season 2
"Can't we say that?"
That sentence from Westworld co-creator/co-showrunner Lisa Joy sums up the information revealed about Season 2 of Westworld at the show's PaleyFest panel on Saturday. She was joined by her fellow showrunner (and husband) Jonathan Nolan, executive producer Roberto Patino, and cast members on stage. Joy was going to share a few tidbits -- the answer above is in reply to a question about when filming for Season 2 will begin -- but Nolan wanted to keep everything under wraps for now. "Isn't it more fun to guess?" he said.
After joking about the "Reddit factor" that led to some core reveals on the show being figured out and widely shared online very early in the season (he'd love if fans kept speculation and commentary on the show's mysteries you've solved offline and not on blogs, thank you very much), Nolan said that unlike Season 1, they are writing all the Season 2 scripts before they begin shooting. "It was a real lesson for us in the first season. When they say it's not TV, it's HBO, they're not kidding. It's a 10-hour movie we're making here. We're writing right now. We're terribly excited about what we're writing." He joked, "Reddit's already figured out the third episode twist, so we're changing that one."
StarCraft: Remastered Announced, Coming This Summer
Blizzard has announced a new remastered version of StarCraft set to release this summer.
StarCraft: Remastered will feature a "full graphical overhaul" with "widescreen UHD support for up to 4K resolution" including updates to units, buildings, and environments, according to Blizzard. The soundtrack and dialogue have also been remastered, and other improvements include new illustrations, matchmaking updates, cloud saves, custom maps, replays, and more.
"While these improvements will bring StarCraft to the modern era, gameplay and balance have been precisely preserved, for an experience that will feel identical to veteran players," Blizzard said in its announcement. No pricing or specific release date have been announced.
Black Sails: New Clip Shows Silver Hunting for Captain Flint
Last week on Black Sails, Captain Flint went rogue, stole the Urca treasure out from under Silver's watch, and headed into the depths of Skeleton Island to hide it. With Madi's life on the line, Silver's now out for blood, determined to kill Flint and mend the deal he was trying to broker with Woodes Rogers.
In this exclusive scene from this Sunday's penultimate series episode -- airing Sunday, March 26th -- Silver's on the hunt. But does he know Flint's mind well enough to figure out the correct path to take? Check it out! (along with a bit of NSFW language!)
Also, take a peak at this new photo gallery from the episode...
Black Sails' Chapter "XXXVII." airs Sunday, March 26th on Starz.

Bringing Realism to Sci-Fi/Horror with Life
Daniel Espinosa has had a successful directing career, with a number of wildly different genre films under his belt, but none quite match the scope and effectiveness of his latest effort, Life. Featuring one of the best casts of the year, including Jake Gyllenhaal, Rebecca Ferguson and Ryan Reynolds, it tells the story of what happens when a new alien life form begins striking back and killing members of the astronaut team tasked with studying and reporting on it.
Espinosa recently had a chat with IGN about the film, where he talked about his influences and inspirations when creating Life, and why he thinks it has more in common with classic film noirs than one might expect. Read on for our full chat, but beware of spoilers…

Fear the Walking Dead Showrunner Leaving After Season 3
The next season of Fear the Walking Dead will mark the end of Dave Erickson's time with the franchise, as the showrunner will leave the hit AMC series at the conclusion of Season 3.
According to the network's announcement, as reported by TV Guide, Erickson will work on new projects for AMC following his departure from Fear the Walking Dead. A new showrunner to fill the void left by Erickson's impending departure has yet to be announced.
"We're beyond grateful for Dave's amazing work on the first three seasons of Fear the Walking Dead," AMC and Sundance TV president of original programming Joel Stillerman said. "We are also incredibly excited that Dave has chosen to stay in the AMC family to pursue his next passion project. We look forward to many more successful collaborations."
Rogue One Writer Wasn’t Fond of This Star Wars Cameo
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story features a number of iconic characters from prior Star Wars films, but there's one particular cameo in the movie that one of the film's writers, Gary Whitta, wishes wasn't included.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Whitta said he wasn't enthusiastic about the decision to include A New Hope's cantina brawlers Dr. Evazan and Ponda Baba (aka Walrus Man) in the brief scene that's set in the streets of Jedha.
"I thought having Evazan and Walrus Man was a little too much," Whitta said. "You have to reign in that instinct to go back and put things in just because you loved them when you were a kid." Whitta was the first screenwriter on Rogue One, but others worked on the film after he did (though he would continue to contribute to Star Wars by writing for Star Wars Rebels).
Escape From New York: Robert Rodriguez in Talks to Direct
Sin City director Robert Rodriguez is in talks helm Fox's Escape From New York remake.
Variety reports that while negotiations are underway, nothing's been finalized yet. Fox has been working on the reboot since it acquired the film rights in 2015.
Michael Ireland is overseeing the project, with John Carpenter executive producing and Neil Cross, creator the Luther series, penning the script. Fox is aiming to start production this summer, but no release date has been yet.
