LEGO Batman Tops 50 Shades Darker, John Wick 2

The LEGO Batman Movie debuted in first at the domestic box office this weekend, outpacing Fifty Shades Darker and John Wick: Chapter Two with an estimated $55.6 million.

As noted by Variety, the new animated film from Warner Bros., which had a production budget of $80 million, enjoyed the biggest opening of 2017 so far. That said, The LEGO Batman Movie fell short of projections, with some analysts expecting the film to make over $60 million during its first weekend in theaters.

Mads: Doctor Strange ‘Exceeded Everyone’s Expectations’

2016 was a big year for Mads Mikkelsen. Not only did he have a major role as Galen Erso in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, but he was also the main villain, Kaecilius, in Marvel’s Doctor Strange. In anticipation of the upcoming Doctor Strange Blu-ray release, Mikkelsen talked to IGN about what it was like shooting the film, diving into the mind of Kaecilius, and his role in one of Marvel Studios’ most ambitious films to date.

Note: the interview does contain some MAJOR SPOILERS for those out there who have not seen Doctor Strange yet, as Mikkelsen talks in detail about filming some of the biggest and most talked about sequences from the film.

Bungie has released concept art from Bungie, including some never before seen images.

The release is in celebration of the one-hundredth episode of our own Destiny podcast, Fireteam Chat.

During its quarterly call with investors, Activision Blizzard said the sequel to Destiny is "on track" for a release later this year, and in September a rumor surfaced putting Destiny 2 on PC in addition to Xbox One and PS4.

Why Tekken 7 May Have a Bright Future as an eSport

Tekken 7 is in great shape. Not only is it built atop more than two decades of foundational gameplay, but this latest instalment has also steadily evolved over the last two years. Games that are rooted in an arcade scene, after all, have their own unique journey. In this case, Tekken 7 was first sighted in Japanese and Asian arcades in March 2015, spending more than a year there being tested by many of the world’s best players. It saw a significant update in July 2016 – with Fated Retribution - which introduced a new mechanic (Rage Drive), new characters (including Akuma from Street Fighter) and new stages. And now, the game is finally making its way to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

The First Footage of Avengers: Infinity War Filming

Filming may have only just begun in Atlanta on Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War, but you can already see some of your favorite superheroes assembled courtesy of two new, official behind-the-scenes videos.

Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr., conducted a Facebook Live on Friday, during which time he interacted with Tom Holland's Spider-Man, Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, and directors Joe and Anthony Russo:

Apes Filmmaker in Talks to Direct The Batman

Warner Bros. has reportedly found their replacement for Ben Affleck to direct The Batman.

According to The Hollywood Reporter,  the studio has offered the job to Dawn of the Planet of the Apes and Cloverfield helmer Matt Reeves, who was first linked with the job earlier this week:

"Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter multiple conversations occurred with the director and the studio meeting Friday. Other directors remain in the wings, including Ridley Scott and Don't Breathe director Fede Alvarez."
