Jason Momoa Talks Aquaman’s World
Aquaman star Jason Momoa has shared a few new details about Warner Bros.' upcoming DC solo film, saying he's "extremely happy" with the underwater world the studio has created.
In an interview with Digital Trends, Momoa highlighted an aspect of the film that he thinks is "cool," namely how Aquaman "taps into the native culture and that’s something that we're only taught a little about, so there’s a lot of interesting things."
He also said he's read the film's script and expressed his excitement in the DCEU exploring the depths of the sea. "I’ve never seen a movie that's anything like this. It's going to be a world that you’ve never seen before," he said, noting how prior DC films have ventured to other planets, but never underwater. "So it’s just a really cool spin on what’s below and it uses a lot of great movies that I already love," he added, specifically mentioning The Lord of the Rings, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Romancing the Stone and Star Wars.

In the following clip, David prepares to get some testing on his mutant abilities from Cary Loudermilk (Bill Irwin), who has some peculiar and specific questions for David before they begin.
Tangled TV Show Renewed for Second Season
Tangled: The Series has been renewed for Season 2 ahead of its Season 1 premiere next month, Disney Channel announced today.
Based on the 2010 feature film, the animated Tangled series will premiere March 24 at 7:30 p.m. ET/PT. Additionally, Tangled: Before Ever After, a "music-filled" Disney Channel original movie, will air ahead of the Season 1 premiere on March 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The series takes place between the events of Tangled and the 2012 short film Tangled Ever After. It follows Rapunzel as "she acquaints herself with her parents, her kingdom of Corona and its people."
Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi will reprise their roles as Rapunzel and Eugene (aka Flynn Rider), respectively. Other cast members include Ashley Judd, Jeff Ross, Jeffrey Tambor, Paul F. Thompkins, and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje.
Injustice 2: Why I Love Swamp Thing So Much
New modes, sweeping (sometimes gimmicky) changes to the combat system, and shiny new coats of paint are often the broad strokes that sell players on a fighting game sequel, but sometimes – even often – the real joy is in new characters. Injustice 2 is already proving to be a great example of this fact; and of all the characters that have been revealed to this point, none of them exemplify it quite like Swamp Thing does.
In the hours I got to play Injustice 2 during my visit to NetherRealm Studios in Chicago, I could barely pull myself away from ol’ Swampy. His toolset is full of unorthodox moves that come together to form a play style that’s anything but typical. If I had to boil it down I’d say he’s a hybrid zoner/grappler that’s best played reactively, but can become aggressive under the right circumstances. Surface similarities to Injustice 1’s Solomon Grundy are completely superficial; I’ve never really played a character quite like Swamp Thing in a fighting game.
Starz Announces Outlander: Season 3 Premiere Date
Season 3 of the time-traveling TV series Outlander will premiere this September, Starz has announced.
The 13-episode season will be based on the eighth book in Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series, "Voyager."
Production on Season 3 began this past September and will conclude in June. Filming will move from Scotland to Cape Town, South Africa in March, so that they can use the former sets of another Starz series, Black Sails, to "shoot pivotal sea voyage scenes" for the last five episodes. Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan, who play Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser, respectively, created a "Goodbye to Scotland" video for fans that you can check out right here.
Nintendo Switch: Reportedly Leaked Documents Detail Specs
A set of documents made for developers has seemingly revealed the Nintendo Switch's much-rumoured hardware specifications, alongside other unmentioned features of the hybrid console.
Released on Reddit (via NeoGAF), the apparent leak goes into exacting detail about the console, seemingly written while the console was still codenamed NX.
Most notably, the documents include a rundown of the console's internal specifications - a set of details Nintendo has not yet fully released.
Shovel Knight Channels Majora’s Mask for Switch Debut
Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment will debut on the Nintendo Switch, trading in the shovel for a scythe to play as the robed Specter Knight. Here are my impressions of playing as the Specter Knight as well as some specifics on what it’s like to play the game with its new expansion on the Switch.
Just like Plague Knight from the previous Plague of Shadows expansion, Specter Knight is a new playable boss with his own unique abilities, items, and levels. He wields a scythe capable of quick slashes to take down enemies and, yes, destroy piles of dirt. Jumping in the air towards an enemy will make a red reticle appear over it; tap the attack button midair and Specter Knight will automatically hone in and execute a diving slash attack. As if jumping and slashing through the air wasn’t ninja-like enough, Specter Knight can also perform a limited vertical wall-run and do a wall-jump on certain surfaces.
X-O Manowar’s Huge Art Team Paves the Way for Relaunch
The relaunch of X-O Manowar in March is bringing about some big changes for both the title character and comic book publisher Valiant Comics, starting with a big status quo shakeup.
“2017 is X-O Manowar’s 25th anniversary and
had an intriguing idea,” Valiant CEO and Chief Creative Officer Dinesh Shamdasani told IGN. “Instead of celebrating with a return to Aric’s status quo, let’s make the character a truly cosmic force to be reckoned with and thrust him into a whole new scenario – a lone human, bonded to an alien weapon, forced to fight on a hostile yet exotic extraterrestrial world. Matt and the five-strong art team of Tomas Giorello, Doug Braithwaite, Clayton Crain, Ryan Bodenheim, and Mico Suayan are doing something we haven’t seen yet with this character – making him a literal ‘man of war’ that’s about to take on not just an army, but an entire planet, over the course of 2017.”
Prey Is a System Shock of the Best Kind
After playing the first hour of Prey, I realized that it will be nearly impossible for me to avoid spoilers while telling you about it thanks to the big twist that unravels in the first 15 or so minutes. So before I throw out the spoiler warning, know that Prey appears to be on its way to upholding Arkane’s well-earned reputation as a purveyor of fine single-player campaign-first shooters. But where the gameplay trailers we’ve seen so far have suggested a BioShock influence, playing Prey reveals an inspiration that goes back to, it turns out, BioShock’s own forebear: System Shock 2. If that’s all you need or want to hear, by all means I understand. But if you want to suffer an early game spoiler and come down Prey’s fascinating rabbit hole with me, there’s much more to tell…
