Justice League Headlines New Set of DC Collectibles
DC Collectibles announced a new line of statues based on the upcoming Justice League movie, as well as other new products based on the DC universe.
The 12-inch statues include Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash and Cyborg. The statues are "inspired by" the film's actors.
Also announced is a "a massive" Batcave vignette based on Batman: The Animated Series. The LED equipped Batcave measures 15.5 x 17 x 21-inches and includes an "an exclusive Alfred action figure."
The DC Bombshells collection is expanding into the DC Designer Series, and the DC Universe Rebirth comics line is getting "several characters" in the DC Icons 6-inch figure series.
The Purge 4 Announced
Universal has announced that a new movie in The Purge franchise is in the works.
The fourth film in the series, which is untitled for now, will open in theaters in July, 2018. The core creative team behind the past three films is returning, including creator James DeMonaco, who wrote and directed the entire franchise thus far. However, DeMonaco will only be penning the script this time around, as he's working with producers to bring in a new director.
Jason Blum, Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, and Sébastien K. Lemercier are producing once again. There are currently no details about the plot or cast for this fourth film, and whether or not Frank Grillo will return to play Leo Barnes.
The Batman: Director Matt Reeves Exits Negotiations
The hunt for a new director for The Batman continues as Matt Reeves has reportedly exited negotiations with Warner Bros. a week after they began.
"A studio source confirms that negotiations have broken down," according to The Hollywood Reporter. "The possibility, however, exists that talks could resume when heads cool. The studio is intent on making the movie no matter what as the Batman franchise has proven to bigger than one person."
How Skyward Sword Feedback Impacted Breath of the Wild
The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma recently discussed how feedback influenced Breath of the Wild, revealing how a fan's response to Skyward Sword impacted the game's development.
"So there was something that the fans said before starting development that changed what I thought," Aonuma told Game Informer. "There was a fan that said he really, really loved Zelda. But while playing Skyward Sword, he missed experiencing this huge world where he could just ride Epona around," something Aonuma said the fan really enjoyed in Ocarina of Time.
Star Wars: Rogue One Sequel Novel Inferno Squad Revealed
Inferno Squad, a new novel set after the events of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, has been announced.
As revealed by StarWars.com, this new book from author Christie Golden will center around an elite Imperial squad who embarks on a mission to take down the remaining Partisans of Saw Gerrera after the climactic events of Rogue One.

Half-Life 2, Portal Writer No Longer at Valve
After working on a number of games at Valve, writer Erik Wolpaw has left the studio.
News of Wolpaw's departure comes by way of former Valve scriptwriter Marc Laidlaw, who posted on Twitter: "Wolpaw left Valve so I can now insult him freely without damaging the company's reputation. He's a comic genius and a true original."
Shortly thereafter, Wolpaw took to Twitter to confirm that Jay Pinkerton, who co-wrote Portal 2 with Wolpaw, hasn't left the company, saying, "Pinkerton's still at Valve! Stop sending him concerned emails!"
Horror Director Eyed for for Shazam
Shazam may be zeroing in on a specific director.
The Wrap reports David F. Sandberg, known for his breakout hit Lights Out, is reportedly in talks to helm the DC Comics film. Sandberg also has another movie on the way in Annabelle 2, set to be released this summer.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson first announced he'll be starring as the villain turned antihero Black Adam in a Shazam movie several years ago. There was little movement on the project until recently when Johnson met with DC to discuss Shazam and the DCEU as a whole.

The Flash: New Images Spotlight Solovar, Grodd and More
In anticipation for The Flash's upcoming two-part Gorilla City event, The CW has released a batch of new photos, including a first look at the sentient gorilla leader Solovar (voiced by Keith David) and the return of supervillain Gorilla Grodd (voiced by David Sobolov).

Unbreakable 2: Rival Studios Aim to Partner for Sequel
Beware of some SPOILERS ahead for M. Night Shyamalan's movies!
According to the Wall Street Journal, Universal Pictures and Disney are looking to work together on the long-awaited Unbreakable 2. Why would two rival studios have to partner for that sequel? Again, spoilers ahead ...
As revealed at the end of Shyamalan's current hit Split, that film takes place in the same universe as the filmmaker's 2000 movie Unbreakable. Split's finale features a cameo by Bruce Willis' David Dunn and also references Samuel L. Jackson's Mr. Glass.
