Earlier today, Nintendo announced the Switch will launch globally on March 3, 2017 for $299.99 USD ($469.95 AUD, £279.99 GBP, ¥29,980 JPY). This announcement came during Nintendo’s Switch Presentation.

It will come with the console, L and R Joy-Con, Joy-Con wrist straps, Joy-Con grip, the Nintendo Switch dock, HDMI cable, and an AC adapter. The Pro Controller will be available separately. In addition, one model with come with grey controllers, and another model with one neon red and one neon blue. Both versions will be the same suggested retail price.

Nintendo are making a huge statement with their new Nintendo Switch 'Hybrid console' and the hype is predictably enormous. Due in March 3rd, 2017, enthusiasts around the world are claiming the Nintendo Switch has the potential to be one of the most revolutionary consoles ever released and could even have a huge impact on how future consoles are made.

A huge part of the reason for this is because how different the Nintendo Switch is compared to its rival counterparts, Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's PlayStation. The Nintendo Switch is a hybrid between a console which can be played at home on your TV and also a handheld which can be played when you're out with friends, something that neither the PS4 or Xbox One offers.

Arcade Archives Announced for Nintendo Switch

Nintendo has confirmed that Hamster's Arcade Archives is headed to Nintendo Switch.

As confirmed on Nintendo's official site, Arcade Archives is headed to the new platform via developer Hamster, though no specific release date or additional info is listed.

Arcade Archives was previously released for PlayStation 4 and includes dozens of classic titles, including Contra, Gradius, Bubble Bobble, Double Dragon, Double Dragon II, and many, many more. You can find a full list of titles currently available on Hamster's official site.

Nintendo Reveals Parental Controls for Switch

New details about the parental controls for the Nintendo Switch have been revealed.

Nintendo announced that parents will be able to use a free smart device app to control which games their children play, how long and how late they play and what they can share on social networks.

Additionally, restrictions can be set for the Nintendo eShop through a user's Nintendo account.

Syberia 3 Coming to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo announced Syberia 3 will be a new game for its forthcoming console, Nintendo Switch.

Syberia 3 is an adventure game coming from Microïds, the French company behind Syberia and Still Life. The game continues the adventures of protagonist Kate Walker.

Nintendo promised more details about the title are "coming soon." Syberia 3 will also release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, Mac, iOS and Android platforms, where it is slated for a Q1 2017 release window.

Nintendo Announces Super Bomberman R For Switch

Bomberman is back, this time as Super Bomberman R on Nintendo Switch.

The latest Bomberman title features 3D stages and photo-real graphics, Nintendo revealed. Players can compete with rivals globally, with a "Battle" mode that features a maximum of eight players. The party-battle game also has a single play "Story" mode, which can also be played with two players in a co-op mode.

Expect a lot of familiar Bomberman touches, including the character's siblings and well-known enemies. Super Bomberman R features a new rule where "the condition to clear the stage is not just by wiping out all the enemies."

Super Bomberman R is slated for a March release, which puts it within the Nintendo Switch launch video. Nintendo Switch will launch globally on March 3, 2017 for $299.99 USD and 29,980 yen, with online services free for a limited period after launch.

Ultra Street Fighter II Coming to Nintendo Switch

Nintendo announced that Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will be coming to Nintendo Switch with "a host of new features."

The company revealed that Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will feature all the original fighters and bosses, Super Street Figher II characters, and new additions of Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.

Up to two players can play simultaneously, and the second player can join "anytime, anywhere" by using the Joy-Con controller. Co-op can be played either in versus mode or to take on a CPU opponent in the new Buddy Baddle mode.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers can be played with either a modern aesthetic or the classic pixel-art graphics.
